  6. my kings were a nightmare mate. took over the shed and wanted to fight everything.imo its best to keep just that breed together in the one shed.if you put them in with a smaller lighter breed they are terrible bullies. very tame birds with the fancier though .
  7. the type of markings on the bird in the picture is called "gazzi" not 100% sure of the colour though. here is the national modena club's secretary email contact. Sec/Treas: Mrs C WRIGHT. Show Sec: E Mail: rod_chris@pgen.net

  15. really cant believe dollies are coming out of prams over this 1 little thread. invincible_spirit you like deep litter i dont ! whats the problem . im not being disrespectfull? i am just quoting facts ..... i have been in very dirty sheds and been told by the owner that they are employing the 'deep litter system' ? im not tarring you or anyone else with any brush . im just saying that i dont believe in cleaning out a loft full of pigeons twice a year , i believe in cleaning them out every day. why is this such a big deal ??

    eggs

sometimes the parents stand over the 1st egg but are not , what they call , 'sitting tight' . 9 times out of 10 the hen lays misses the next day then lays the following day . ie. a rest day between eggs. once the 2nd egg is laid you may find the parents begin to incubate the eggs as normal.
  18. the site is looking good mate and the birds look well. smart loft ! (dont see many all white) is it 24ft long or bigger? cheers.
