I was going to send half my team on Tuesday night and spoke to John jamieson on the phone about it but after a dodgy toss on Tuesday afternoon with some yb's I decided to give it a miss glad the race turned out ok.I thought the race would be fine as long as Percy wasnae into them too much

1 THING IS FOR SURE IN PIGEONS NOWADAYS YE CANNAE EVER GET TOO ATTACHED TO ANY PIGEON IN YOUR LOFT BECAUSE AS SURE AS HELL IF YOU RACE IT YE HAVE A GREAT CHANCE OF LOSING IT SO BE PREPARED AND IF YOU ARE THEN IT WULNAE BE SO BAD

Personally i think Phil Lynch let himself down sending out that letter after the way the race turned out....

Jim they were attacked less than a mile from Meldons i seen the batch split up but couldnae see what caused it at the time as i was driving but it must have been percy as my doo got lucky but lost most of his tail mate

Maybe some are just lucky Ian...Personally as Lanarkshire Lad will tell you also we have had great training as we have been training in a group of up to 2000 birds at times safety in numbers but they still get hit as it happened to us on wednesday as some had pigeons missing theat came the next day including myself i got my last 1 on thursday morning minus most of it's tail...Maybe most of the convoys are attacked on route at some point but get lucky like my doo on wednesday and to say not every fancier has bother how can you make a statement like that as we dont know what happen sto them on route either from training or on a saturday from the race??? All going well i will get the doo aff Malky this week at some point and see about getting it back To Angela and Eggy...Kieran has had a doo reported in Blantyre tae so once i find out who has it i will collect that wan aswell then hopefully we can get them back home safe & sound

I have been sending my yb's with South Lanarkshire as trainers this year 1st race Kelso i got 20/26 2nd race Kelso i got 23/26 After the 1st 2 races i thought something might have been wrong with them as they were looking great sh!t was A1 training well etc but after the guy i am training with got 80/80 the 1st week and 108/108 the 2nd race i was getting paranoid about mine so last sunday morning i handled every yb in the yb loft and as i did so i gave every 1 a 1/4 of a 500mg Flagyl tab at the same time but honestly never seen and sign of anything and on the monday & tuesday i gave them Adenosan on the feed and then back to normal feed and clean water the rest of the week 3rd race Alnwick the 20 i got home from the 1st race all went back again as i have been splitting my team all 20 are home but i have a younger team that have had 7 tosses and i put 6 of them away aswell but only got 4 of them home 3rd race i got 24/26 So i have lost 11 so far not too happy about it but hey that is pigeon racing for you

Aye if everybody told the truth Del we could maybe get a better picture of what the returns are like...Re saying this yin and that yin have great returns when some in the club huvnae but we dont hear about the poor returns from some as they dont seem to want others to know about it.....

23/26 another 1 was in today when i went down i put 6 of my later team in for their 1st race/trainer and 2 of them are missing but if 4 can do it the other 2 should have been there tae...

That yb will make very good money but am afraid it wulnae be coming here no way i could afford it...It's dam has to be the best long distance hen in Scotland the noo and the young yins faither is a belter tae
