  1. Maybe an idea to get the new RPRA manager up and running if Richard could set up a petition and signed by our members (loft nos) and more emphasis could be put on the use of the RPRA trailer to promote the sport at various shows - "no sense having a dog and having to bark yourself" - no disrespect intended
  2. It would be better if they could strike some kind of franchise with Amtrak for the transport of pigeons.
  3. I, no preaching done by me it's just you cannot read. SIR,thanks for the knighthood your a Kind Man
  4. Well done Chrissy good job Tammy gave up the doos you will need him to carry and polish all these trophies
  5. South Lanarkshire are at Ridsdale 9 miles below Otterburn due to go at 9am. Lanarkshire are due to go at 9am from Otterburn
  6. rednyellow - Glasgow and Renfrew have the same controller and are across the river Clyde from each other so might make sense
  7. Weather permitting how long will it take to liberate the 10 feds.that we know of sitting at Otterburn on Sat. given the largest Fed in Scotland will be there.
  8. Wonder what it will be like on sat.with at least 10 Feds (as per the RPRA) at the Otterburn going to be a lot of pigeons about. Maybe a few rockets this week may help.
  9. What a factitious post from "I" where in my original post do you see a complaint from me regarding the liberation all I said was the weather was cloudy and so it was according to the pictures. I am not the original complainer as i did not go to Otterburn as more than half my young birds were lost from a toss at Harthill and the two races from Kelso I had good returns from Cockenzie. I say to you I put your brain into gear before you open your mouth.Greengrass said in his post that someone had remarked it had been raining all day at the race point most certainly not I ,sorry me .Greengrass will probably know the chap I sat with he had 4 away - still waiting 2 out of 9 K1 and 2 out of 8 K2So if you are looking for someone pour your heart out to look for someone else rather than me.About the weather in Alex the sec.phoned to see what it was like by us, dark skies, he stated it was bucketing down 3 miles up the road. To WulDon the velocity for Alexandria 910.468 not very fast for a race on a good day at 107 miles
  10. Bart is dead right a quick call on the mobile and there should be no problems, to Greengrass Your pictures just confirms the forecast on Yahoo weather no probs with that. Jumping the gun gets you shot.
  11. Quite a bit of drooling have been shown the red meat again I wasn't even racing
  12. Whilst waiting for the birds on Sat. from Otterburn one half of the Alexandria area had a sky that was black the other half had torrential rain (some 3 miles apart) Live At Loch Lomond can confiorm that, the forecast I saw for Otterburn was cloudy . I saw the Lanarkshire lads had regular updates on the site well done to their controller and convoyer and whoever relayed the information the Glasgow fed members just sat in the "Dark" waiting.
  13. Has any fed went up at all from Otterburn
  14. SPDS now have two depots in England Leeds & Manchester you can drop off your goods up to 7-30pm for next day delivery including Thurso & Campbeltown they also have depots in Aberdeen & Glasgow and various locations and have a tie up with a well known South based companywhich covers England and Wales could be well worth a ring they have a web site Has anyone on the PB ever used them I know Shotgun Tim has
  15. Would SPDS not have been an option especially for us up in Scotland and it's cheaper so I am told. Have had all my birds delivered by Amtrak with no problems but an alternative does no harm.
  16. Glasgow basketed and away to Otterburn hoping for an early start. Forecast - Cloudy up until lunchtime
  17. Sorry Knoxjn but the inference of one of your posts was that someone would try to steal it. Most of the guys and gals on this site are all too willing to help hence the reason for asking pertinent questions such as ring I.D. and you as a pigeon man (ex) should know that that ring would be issued to a club and then to an individual fancier, only change would be a transfer but the initial reference would still be the same
  18. HIC
  19. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sometimes it's hard work if this was A NEW MEMBER then ok but with 16 postings surely you know the route.
  20. If I get a bird in that will not clear and is reported the first thing I ask is the bird valuable if not is it worth your time and trouble to arrange transport or, you can leave it here, myself, I like to get my own back as mistakes happen with humans and birds.
  21. It has been a poor start to the young bird season, have lost 23, half the team, from off the loft, training and one from the first race and 6 from the second at this rate no way I will finish the program all have phone no rings.
  22. Gordon Geddes - Chryston Club 0141-7792557
  23. Great idea, all the best for the future and don't forget your write ups about the other birds
  24. The Spanish inquisition was easier lol
