........very strange. I dont not have lighting in the loft but its never been a poblem yestur-year...... After revisitng the loft I can only sumize that the hens are too heavy..so I'm goin to feed em on barley and peas for a few days...and see if this helps!!!!

how are you 'early pairers getting on'????? Mine were put together on the 08.12.07...after a couple of weeks of windng them up and upto now.......only got one egg out of 17 pairs...... nest have been built - pairings are solid - and birds in cracking nick...... I'm guessing the hot and cold snaps are putting the off. Other lcoal fanciers are having the same problem........I'm abit disappointed really as I'm usually chipping out around now!!!! Is this a national porblem??? ar well.....such is life

I used to keep a few......lovely they were...I found them to a very steady bird....alot bigger than your average racer. Mine did fly out ...and flew well... I didn't treat them any different to any other pigeons I had....they were very good breeders..but I would say that you need to use a shallow nest pan and get well raised,,as I found that mine sat very tight on the nest, and had a couple of spread legged youngsters as a result heres a couple of pictures of the ones I used to have.. NB the photos with a 'T' on them were used in an editorial we had done sometime ago about our business...and when posting them I must mention that they were gratioulsy donated by S*expletive removed*hopre Eveneing Telegraph. As previoulsy mentioned by another member..I did sell the whites to 'Bewted' on here.

Personally looking at your set up I would fly them straight into the section though the open window...just put some form of landing arrangement on the outside......the sooner the're in and back to the perch....the sooner you can clock em in Keep it simple
