The top men keep telling us mortal`s that observation is the key! well i just found out they are right!! my roundabout cocks have been flying pretty well in the last few weeks, i allways check the boxes for down feathers before basketing this week on wed i gave the birds the usual measure at 7.30 pm (soup spoon) but forgot to take the food box out the loft with me (2kg tupperware )so went in on thurs to find the cocks had gorged themselves so went to work really pissed off, came home let birds out the cocks flew really well so i thought i would get my usual performance today! so pooled the cock that won the race last week. This morning i went out to clean all the roundabout loft, my birds are on grills in the boxes so cleaned hens section first and was pleased to see loads of down feathers in most of the boxes i then went to the cocks section and not one box had any down feathers under the grills? Because i was running late on fri i never checked . The end result I won club with a hen and had 8 hens before i had a cock home. The moral is ,Keep your eyes open the birds tell you when they are ready.

I have always believed that good pigeons with the correct managment will win anywhere i just have to prove it now lol.

Was offered some from friends in the midlands but did`nt think they would do well up here !!WRONG.
