  2. Well there will be no prize for guessing what caused that injury Paul used to get loads hawked up that area.
  3. It is the old WNRF it kept the same name when they turned to the east to west route,
  4. The Cheq Pied or possibly the middle one.
  5. The Cheq Pied or possibly the middle one.
  6. I would have to agree about the Court Farm Corn been having our corn from there for at least 15yrs, never had any problem,s using it whether it be for racing or breeding. He also does a very good Moulting Mix that is excellent value. And also will deliver to the door if you order a full load.
  7. I always thought that The WHPU Trophey,s awarded each year were for the Champion pigeons of Wales at there respected category,s ie J.O.D Trophy Champion Young Bird, Taffy Bowen Trophy Champion Sprinter, Queens Cup Champion Long Distance ect. If we stuck to these titles there wouldn't be a problem as everybody is entitled to compete for them each year.
  8. Happy birthday Jnr and have a good one, by the way i have,nt forgotten about you they will be ready in April.
  9. And here is another waste of space the Bali Bell this bird was taken out of a batch of 20 as they droped in from a 25 mile training toss, me and my mate could hear the bell before the batch appeared with that we could see the Falcon dive off the cliff,s behind the loft and it hit the bird with the Bali Bell on. It was just as usless against Sparrowhwks & Goshawks, my wife used to call them the dinner bell as soon as it stopped they would dive out of the forest and hit birds off the loft.
  10. I dont think training and racing in March & April is the best method for inexperienced sprint type pigeons as when they catch a funny race early in the season or catch those cold easterly winds they seem to go down or get the stuffing knocked out of them before they start, and if it was this type of pigeon i would miss the early races and give them plenty of training in May and then give them all the comeback races then race them as 2yr olds. With regards distance pigeons i would train them well through to 60ml in May and then give them a race or two at 75ml & 100mls end of May beginning of June and then put them straight over the channel at 280 mls with this method we have won with them and then 10 days later back into 350mls we have also used the latter method with pigeons of 2yrs old that have never been in the basket also. But there is no hard and fast rules to anything in pigeon racing one thing for sure is that if you have got a Champion in amoung them no matter what you do he will show himself , Good Luck
  11. Four times i have had trouble with neighbours the first time i never even got the base down before the council came and started, so i decided to move and not have the hassle i got the base down in my new house council came id had enough so stood my ground won my case but the neighbour that complained went out of his way to frighten birds, i must say that the two places had small gardens and it was houses back to back. Then i went in shares with my mate and his neighbour complained and we had to take the loft down, this was not pigeon related it was all about the neighbours son being out bid on the property next to my mate although we took it all the way to the welsh office we still lost the case. So we both moved to where we live now and we aint got no neighbours lol. And thats just how i like it nothing worse than problems with neighbours but living in wild,s does bring other problems but thats another story.

    Falcons

Considering Falcons take the pigeons in flight i cant see that a flashing light on top of your loft will do to detere him especialy if hes hungry..

  24. Hi Debs i am sorry to hear about this, hope everything works out ok for you.
  25. Well i am having the bird picked up at 9.00 am in the morning bird will be delivered to hull teatime with Whiteflight. Just for the record Pigeon Tracker did try to help me get the pigeon picked up and also gave me another courier to try. In the mean time my mate told me about Whiteflight. Pigeon Tracker will be doing my other birds next week but was unable to get this bird there on time as i explained it is being taken to Holland on Tuesday. Nice that we have a choice keeps them on there toe,s lol Pigeon Tracker delivered 2 lots of pigeons for me last week they were picked up at 6.30 pm and both lots of birds were in new owners lofts by 10.30am. So you cant fault that.
