hi wiley, these lines go back to the 60s and 70s from willy thas, from franks foundation stock, the filmstar, when he was paired to the kleine blauwe, gb 79 d 98500 and belg 82 4861200, the blue eole , the whitenose , the white flt Daniel, the jonge korte, these birds were the base birds all French rung from paul haltermans loft, not sure if these will help but worth knowing where the birds originated from, regards George, p/s if you like a copy of these old peds let me know your address and I will copy them for you, regards, George

cracking bird Wiley, them Tasker birds were really good at all distances , they also raced well into the unc, my friend les thurlow had a great hen im sure she won 1st unc ,Abbeville in 1990, this hen won bird of the year two years on the trot for les in the federation, great hen, im sure I have the pedigrees some were , all containing the best of franks birds , in fact our unc bourges winner carries the same blood in her pedigree , like I say I will hunt them out to make sure, good luck, podgy

lets just say im sorry if I have offended any one with posting a picture of our good hen on this thred, may be with hindsight I should of put her photo else where, any way back to the question I think with pigeon strains its the old saying of horses for courses and a lot of these modern strains cannot compete when the going gets tough, we have tried and tested a lot of different birds over a period of 50, years in this sport, and if im honest there's not a lot of the old named strains about, such as the old vandeveles, sions, barkers dordins, kikpatricks, even the old Busschaerts are getting thin on the ground, seems to me the h/cuesters , syndicate loft birds all different strains , lambrechtts, van loons , Janssen's , van reets, van denabelles, all great birds, are still about winning well, at the sprint and middle distances', as for 5oo mls plus I think its a different ball game as fanciers seem to stick with there tried and tested families of birds that have performed well over a number of years only adding to the lofts birds that have been thoroughly tested before they are added to there proven breeding colony, seems to me a lot of top fanciers are using the Brokamps, (George line), crossed with the r/sablons are doing really well, this just my opinion im sure other fanciers will have theres, good luck with what ever strain of birds you choose, podgy
