my breeder buyer interest was nearly over before it started yesterday? my nominated bird was flying round the house when out of nowhere appeared a hen sparrow hawk in persuit of the pigeon, they both disappeared to the west and me thinking it had fell to the hawk?? well when the cocks were exercising today who drops onto the trap but my wee dark chequer like nothing had happened, needless to say im a happy chappie, that i think is a good omen?? hahaha I HOPE!!? john your so rite there john as i nearly found out yesterday??

crows can be every bit as bad as bop, they sit on the roofs with the pigeons lulling them into a false sense of security then bang attack without warning and will kill them if they get the chance??

yes crows will attack younsters i had that a few years ago when a crow entered my loft and attacked a younster, and they are clever birds into the bargin, i tried to get him using all sorts of methods but this individual always seemed to be a step ahead?? he eventually met his maker when he copped some lead 3 months later?? but every time the young birds were venturing out when they were just learning to fly the crow wasnt far away and would try & scare them looking to single out one?? once they were flying confidentley they didnt have any problems from crows just the other mob ( bops ) john

im off to the vet with 3 casualties from saturdays race, one with a suspected broken leg, the other with an eye injury & the 3rd one with a piece of a branch sticking out of its side?? the tell tale signs somethings gone bad?? one defo had a face to face with bop with the puncture wounds hardy souls the birds they will recover john
