All our aviaries have 1/2inch x 1/2inch wire.We have plastic grills on the floor.Cuts down on the cleaning in there,looks good and keeps birds off the direct floor.We have 26ft x 5ft aviaries on lofts,best thing we did.Birds out getting sunlight and this time of year,safe from predators.

Unfortunatley not this year,having to work

Wind really picked up this evening,awful rain horizontal at the moment.Just been to check lofts,all seems ok at the moment.Windy here for next few days,roll on monday.

Well looks like Winter is on its way now,high winds and rain.I started work in blue sky this morning,thought I'd take the kids trampoline down,then put the cover over it for winter.Then had a brush up in the yard and tidy up,then up to the lofts. Cleaned out the stock birds aviary after cleaning all lofts.Then thought i'd treat the cocks to a bath.So after doing this I went to the main loft,and decided I'd close in the aviary for the winter.I've got some polycarbanate sheets which I use to cover the aviary for the Winter months.As we are 1000ft up,we get some telling weather be it wind,rain and the dreaded White stuff.I have in the past before I closed in the aviary,could get 3ft of snow gathered in there overnight. As I finished closing in the aviarys,the weather has changed.Wind has picked up and raining heavily.As I write this just seen weather forecast for the Saturday,rain rain and more rain.We are due 100mm on Saturday and wind upto 70mph. Temperature is dropping next week as well,talking snow on high ground next week. So time now to batten down the hatches and prepare for the winter months ahead. Good luck to all !

Hes a legend with his record,but like you said earlier there must be a big purse for him to come out of retirement.

That looks like a great walking place,was the picture taken yesterday. ? Weather here was awful,could not see very far at all yesterday.
