  1. Down at the loft tonight I'm now keeping 5 at home as I feel they will be on super dooper form come Maidstone and better nest conditions lol plus it's my fed open race 8 now subject to change
  2. Ofcoarse they won't stop the winners because there is winners in every race. I have saw with my own eyes unhealthy chappers turning doos back, yes they healthy doos will eventually leave them but its the floating about at lib point that causes part of the problem imo
  3. No many top 20 3 times last 4 year
  4. The only thing that is on the rise really is bop with racing getting worse each year. Couple that with bad health and people molly coddling pigeons then breeding from them ye have a recipe for disaster. Say 10% of the birdage was not fit enough or unhealthy those doos can turn and keep turning full batches which causes problems and yeah good doos do get lost. People lost doos that have won the national. I'm afraid its part of the doo game. The old saying when they are in the sky they are not yours.
  5. Andy not saying your doos that are missing but bad doos cant get cards too
  6. I do believe doos good enough do 90% of the time make it back( apart from bop, wires etc). I saw a doo coming to a loft at half ten at night on Saturday flown right out but he worked it out a worked his balls off to get home. Maybe doos that don't have that sort of constitution or breeding in them just give in. I lost 9 that day and my loft is a better loft for it imo
  7. Because the un healthy ones can turn batches causing doos not to clear and doos not clearing causes trouble in itself imo
  8. Think it could be good way for fanciers to manage their traing costs and ours however I know you have enough on your plate whilst doing a cracking job so far so I'll just go with the flow
  9. Not buying it to be honest Does all the German and Belg etc get bad racing??
  10. Would it be possible to maybe look at the way the 2 bird club do like pay 45 quid upfront that covers your youngbirds training. If we can get enough names commit to it you could possibly make more money training and have figures to work with etc instead of maybe some going one week then not the next. Regardless I will be training on it, it's the perfect way to school the youngsters on our own transporter coming back into Lanarkshire together

  21. I've been thinking about some loft altercations over the off season currently I have 6x7ft sections and and 5x12ft sections. I hear some doo men say tighter section the better as it's easier to condition doos tame doos and catch them. What's your personally opinion would you prefer to have more room but or tighter sections?
