  2. You can't when you don't know how many have timed in the other sections that's beating you I think more people will get tickets though first 100 in the fed
  3. But the section tickets still exist
  4. Cammy inputs every members time regardless of the result...the programme then makes the result
  5. Hi guys Looking to have your thoughts on the Lanarkshire Fed result layout I've been thinking for a while that the current non open race format isn't a true race result You could be 16th open 7000 pigeons but 16th section and never get on the result? Surely this disheartens members? Even 30th open 20th section against massive birdage is an achievement and maybe would help encourage more fanciers and help boost morale in the sport. Now I am 100% not saying do away with the sections because I think the sections add value and competition What I think could be fairer for all is say top 100 open but with the section embodied in the result just like an open result ie still 1st west sec 27th open etc we could even run it until atleast 15 section tickets were given as a minimum for instance one week 115th open 15th section if the race required it so no section was ever done out of fed tickets... This is only a suggestion it is in no way discrediting any past result I just feel an alternative may be better for all parties and bring us in line with most if not all organisations within the sport Some may say this is more work for our hard working sec Cammy but my understanding from previous conversations is that you just change the format on the results programme What's your thoughts guys?

  16. Don't think any pigeon club in the country could be classed as a mass gathering according to the WHO How large does a meeting or event need to be in order to be a “mass gathering High profile international sporting events such as the Olympics or World Cups as well as international religious events such as the Hajj count as mass gatherings. However, lower profile conferences and events can also meet WHO’s definition of a mass gathering. An event counts as a “mass gatherings†if the number of people it brings together is so large that it has the potential to strain the planning and response resources of the health system in the community where it takes place. You need to consider the location and duration of the event as well as the number of participants. For example, if the event takes place over several days in a small island state where the capacity of the health system is quite limited then even an event with just a few thousand participants could place a big strain on the health system and then be considered a “mass gathering†event. Conversely, if the event is held in a big city in a country with a large, well-resourced health system and lasts just a few hours, the event may not constitute a “mass gathering†event.
