  1. Super presentation. The panelists and the sausage rolls were great. The compere wasn't bad either lol. Nice to see a few of the faces ye don't see on a regular basis
  2. looking forward to it Heading down with the Bathgate,Whitburn,Avonbrig contingent.
  3. Smashing night. Was nice to speak with the Lanarkshire and Ayrshire lads as well as meeting and hearing the men on the panel's ideas on doos. Top lads.
  4. with the predators etc. around at the moment it's more of a death sentence. Some great achievements in the past from these distances. To send to these races then you had to be a bit different,to do it now you'd be a total radge haha Each to their own though, down to what the individual enjoys I suppose.
  5. lot 14 £60 Thanks Ian
  6. lot 19 - £30 please Thanks Ian
  7. I was looking through some of my old pictorials recently and came across one from shortly after Jim Biss built his lofts at Hillside. There was a pit underneath the grills big enough for a man to walk in, hose out etc. Another interesting feature was a corridor that ran behind the nest boxes. Each box had an inch gap at the back level with the box floor and a lot of the dust blew out the back when the birds flew up to their perch. An old write up, but some good ideas and tips. Everything seemed to be very well thought out.
  8. best of luck folks
  9. Is the sale members only or can people outwith lanarkshire buy?
  10. cheers men. I've a smashing grandson off her at the moment. He showed some promise last season as a yb. He was steady and his best position was 3rd club(beaten by loftmates) 7th fed. Think he could be the boy in the next couple of years, but time will tell. He got some een on him lol. I've a nice dark pied cock off my 6th open silver award hen for the chequer this season. Will see how the babies pan out
  11. you'll feel the difference ecky .

  13. thanks for the comments folks, she's been good to me
  14. same. Combine it with the blow torch and it's the cleanest driest loft you could wish for.
  15. She is a home bred pigeon. Her sire is my old dark John Ellis cock and the dam is a red chequer I was gifted from Toddler Brown of Kirkliston
  16. Nah John, she's had one or two lucky escapes and I'm happy enough for her to see out her days here. She's six this year, it's time some of the younger guns stepped up to plate
  17. Got a picture taken recently of my favourite hen She's one of the most honest pigeons I've had since starting with the birds.
  18. lot 11 - £40 Thanks Ian
  19. A huge loss to pigeon racing in this area and further afield. Very few fanciers equal to Tommy and none better. A magician with pigeons whose performances will be talked about as long as there's still a pigeon sport. All the best for the future Tam.
  20. Well done Ryan - class act !!
  21. If I told you that, I'd have to kill you lol
  22. Aye it was nice to see yous all again and thank you for the basics bottle
  23. No wonder. That can't be a nice thing to see, but I suppose you and your wife can be glad in a way that it didn't turn out worst. Like you said to the lassie-it's only a motor.
  24. That's always a good start Stuart lol. Was good to see you sorry to read about that ordeal this morning. Hope the lassie is ok.
