Aye I don't really buy into all this K index theory stuff etc etc either. Apparently returns,injuries and quality of races as far as following up the winners is concerned are the worst they have ever been. Its also widely known that bird of prey figures are at their highest since the industrialisation of Britain. Read John Harwood's piece in the 2010 stud book and he sums it up better than anybody I've heard. Still feel the SNFC needs a bit of reshuffling as well though.Firstly they should pick a race programme and stick to it for at least a few seasons.I feel they should focus ONLY on channel racing dropping all inland races. How much money do they actually have in the bank??? If its as much as I've been told this could be the best weapon they have at their disposal to improve race entries and quality of racing. I think the way subscriptions are paid should be changed.You should only pay for the races you enter and should be allowed to enter as long as you are a member of a union(any). I think they should lower birdages short term and introduce prize money to the first three in each section perhaps at a split of 500/300/200 for the Gold Cup and 300/150/50 for the other races. As far as I'm lead to believe this money is sitting there doing NOTHING when it could be going back into races and benefitting the members not only at National level but at federation level as well. Obviously theres lots of folk dissapointed,myself included,but think your being a bit disrespectful towards the pigeons that are in bigda. Theres been bad races in the past and there will be so in the future but don't think national racing has ended. There are changes that need to take place though in order to get it back on its feet again in terms of birdage and popularity.

The SNRPC seem to be getting on a bit better from Reims considering the size of their convoy.Still not exactly flooding in by any stretch of the imagination.

Good stuff If the weathers not that great for yer toss and the 80 miler,no point throwing them away after this long,play it by ear.If they get a few tosses in before the young bird racing and in wi them to the races as trainers that'd be cracking experience for them

It seems to have been a good race on the whole for returns into Section D Wullie Pleased to get them all,there to fight another day.The seasons still not over for some of them

All home now Hopefully they'll have gained some useful experience from the race

Heard some of the boys in the south of England are doing 50mph,not sure what the returns are like though
