  1. Thanks, Just Ask, good move.
  2. Good enough for me. Many thanks.
  3. I have had 5 birds back from you in the last 2 weeks. Thank you very much for delivering a much needed service, keep up the good work, well done Davy!
  4. So ma pal wisny say daft efter ah, then! Aye, this should be moved to members only section. Mr Tesco does packs of 100, quite good quality to.
  5. Well done George, how many did you get back today Walter? I hope you got them all!
  6. Back to the drawing board then!
  7. The price of Wikes's bricks was a joke as well. B&Q are only 30 pence each. B&Q Concrete Common Brick Grey EAN: 5030349000916 Only £0.30
  8. Wicks Building Supplies Facing Brick Product Code: 220385 Pack size: Single Brick & Block Size: 215mm x 102.5mm x 65mm Colour: Red Multiple-Buy Savings Buy 452 Facing Brick for £0.53 each Maybe cheaper to keep your wall.
  9. They'll no be scratchin thir heeds, I'm sure they keep an eye on this site every day. If you type RSPB freepost into your browser this page pops up.
  10. Walter, I hope you get them all back tomorrow, we don't have that many (23) left fit to fly in our club. It's a hard job flying into that westerly wind to Inverness and the place is crawling with BOPs.
  11. Came into a fancier in Inverness today. Very young and very thin but being well looked after. Any taker?
  12. That's what I thought but they would also need to start up another address. Maybe editors of mags like BHW, the Racing Pigeon, Guns and other field sport mags would publish the idea?
  13. Hi Fifer, I've sent you a PM. I hope it works.
  14. RSPB may get a bit discount but it would be great for the Royal Mail profits
  15. What do you all think of this idea? A fellow told me today that the Royal Society for the Protection of Hawks very kindly sent him an invitation to joint up today. Enclosed in the invitation to fund them at £3:00 each month was the free post address. He thinks that it would be a good idea to go to somewhere like The Pound Shop and buy a few packs of the cheapest envelopes they have on the shelf, he says that you may be able to get a pack of 50 or 100 for a £1:00. Address every envelope with the freepost address and bung them in the post. It may cost you as little as £5:00 for 250 or 500 nice letters to the RSPB but it will cost the RSPB the cost of a second class stamp for each one, 32 pence but more if they have enough cut up newspaper to make them more than 5mm thick. 500 times 32 equals £160. He said that if only 1000 fanciers did this it could cost the RSPB £160,000 and if it was done for just 4 weeks in a row it would be £640,000. If 5000 fanciers did this it would be an awful shame to cost the RSPB £32,000,000 that could be getting used to re-home poor homeless peregrines. To save writing the address over and over again you can load the envelopes into your printer or if the printer can’t do envelopes and you have MS Word, click tools from the top menu bar – click Letters and Mailings – click Envelopes and Labels – Copy and Paste the address given below into the space provided – Click Full page of the same label – Using size 12 font with label size 37 X 70 an A4 sheet will give you 24 labels. Labels are expensive so just use A4 paper and a glue stick, he presto, cheep labels for about a penny a sheet of 24. Diz onybudy fink ma pal’s a dafty? The freepost address is: Freepost RRSX-YHAU-AJTB The RSPB New Member Offer Halifax Road MELKSHAM SN12 6YY
  16. I was going to ask you to check the number as I thought that I was sitting in the loft talking to it today. Then I realised that mine is SU10NE3411. Anyway it belongs to the Buckie club call Leon Kowalozyk on 01542 833943. Thanks for reporting the pigeon, you have been a great help. You got in there just in front of me DJWa, that's what I usually say about other fanciers pigeons.
  17. Thanks for the lib time Walter, it will be a hard race for Elgin and Forres clubs today there are big westerly gusts in Inverness just now. It will have to be a super bird to get in here within 3 1/2 hours of you if the wind stays the same.
  18. I don't know what condition it's in, but it's being looked after by one of the Inverness boys.
  19. Another hour and they will still be quicker than last week, sorry it will still be quicker than last week. Thanks for posting the lib time Walter.
  20. Walter, if they are getting libbed at 11:15 can you ask Davy to let mine out at 10:45. Better still after last week, can you tell him to let mine oot aboot Nairn, in fact a wee bit west o Nairn would be a help.
  21. Only got 1 back from 8 last week, so he will go to Arniston - 120 miles - this week with the remainder of the yb team. About 25. There is a big dogs leg so they fly most of the way to Aberdeen then turn west for another 100 miles to Inverness with a west wind most weeks.
  22. Well said Gareth. There has not been much mention of the Northern Lights, they could be seen as far South as Germany on Thursday night, that has never happened before and they are all to do with magnetic fields. Quite often when there are big losses we read in the BHW that there was a lot of sun activity. Bilco wrote quite a lot about it.
  23. Up to a couple of hours ago there was only 17 into the Forres club from 111. I have 1 from 8. Not good.
  24. There's 4 in Forres, no mine though.
