Was at the sale ma self. It was disappointing for the organisers the number of people who attended, but on the bright side there were bargains to be had. ;) ;)

I always try to look as POOR as possible for the auctioneer :D :D

Turned out i had 4/45 still to come last night, got 1 early this morn and another at 1pm. 2 still adrift, but i'm not complaining, though i thought the latebred ck still out was a nice pigeon sure to make its mark!

Cleaned the yb's loft today, usual Sunday task. Filled the bath and they all used it, young and old, then fed them in about 2pm. Since then i've had ma feet up and tonight i'm off to the Lesmahagow club room for the annual sale. Always good stock on offer at it.

Personally i like to give mine plenty of protein, when they've had it tough, so kibbled peanuts red band and sunflower hearts mixed equally, as well as the normal feeding they are on. After 24 hours mine never appear any worse for wear so i'll stick to it.

'Til this week i had mine on 50/50 Iriash mix/breeder. This week i added V/L sport extra which i think is about the best pre mixed feeding i've come across, as the season progresses i'll add more SP/EX to gthe mkix. As a titbit mine got a couple of handfuls of Kibbled peanuts hormoform red band and sunflower hearts mixed together equally, i also give them this mix i made myself, Red & Black Minerals, crushed pick stones/blocks red band, sunflower hearts which makes up 50% of it, the rest is mixed grits, they love this more than anything else i give them.

Bloody Youngbirds!

When you look at the different responses to this thread, you see several different answers but they all aim to do the same thing, save time on race days. The different methods simply demonstrate the character of the fancier implementing them, your own character will determine which one you eventually adopt. Take it from a man who is blessed with little patience! choose the CALMEST method. Very best of luck to you and Lang May Your Lumb Reek in the doo GAME. :) -
Very well done A. Rae, hard enough to get a winner in they velocities, but a 1-2 is great.
-
Very well done young man. You've set your standard now so keep it up.

Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!! Rest assured if the error is brought to the attention of the secretary it will be rectified immediately. Certainly greetin about it on here will no get anything done about it.

That looks like the Midland transporter to me.

All these men that send their doos according to weather forecast will be No Well when they see the weather up here in Lanarkshire. Best of luck to all who sent their full team.

I got the same problem, think they need to get the web guys in to sort the problems once and for all, next thing to happen will be advertisers pulling the plug on their Ad's, then the site is finished. Pity though, i like it, even if it is a struggle at times.

Lanarkshire doos done 1300+ last week into NE wind, i'd guess you'll get them in Angus in less than 4 hours from lib time. jmo

Well done Gerry, nice one. -
The race is won dependant on the fancier doing the right things at the right time, to create an irresistible motivation for the birds who have it in them to win in the first place. As far as flying round for however long the fancier demands, or how long the birds choose to fly for, i believe it has little to NO bearing on race results. jmo

Cockadoodle doo my friend  -
I wouldn't use it! Cider vinegar will do the job for less than a quid a bottle out of tesco. A couple of table spoonfuls or fill the screwtop and add to your drinkers. 2 or 3 times a week should keep them right. I have to say though that i dislike these products that perform miracles, ma lot get Half a canker tab and the PMV injection when being weaned then nothing that i can't get out of the supermarket, like vinegar and garlic, for the rest of their natural.

Very well done to Donald on winning what was a stiff race in a cold wind. Also well done to the other Sec winners who's birds performed admirably.

Hey ALF, he's no dying or anything just a bug or something he ate. If he was in over here i'd send him a chinese carryiout :) :)
-
Just to rub salt in, his Yb's have been on the roof since he left, won't go near the loft. If he finds that out there might be no hope, i know it would make me ill
-
Sure he'll make a full recovery, but being in hospital here is bad enough, having to go in abroad must be worse.
-
I would separate it from the others until it either stopped or gets worse, at which time depending on the outcome it would go back amongst the rest or.... well 0R!! I'd definitely NOT take it to the vet, cos your guess will most certainly be better than his/hers.

Sorry to hear George Bain B.E.M. has been admitted to hospital in Cyprus. Apparently he took ill shortly after arriving on Monday, sick as a dog he was, so he's on a drip in hospital......Anyone Know who topped the Fed fae Consett yet?
