  2. Did you's hear who won the RAFFLE this week AGAIN?? That's 3 out of 4 weeks, which only proves there Was jiggery pokery going on last week ..............Mind its New Year next week, a wee bottle of Malt would be a nice prize
  3. I'm afraid your sums are MILES away from reality Danny, and as for us trying to tell Jim Lennon he's working in say Falkirk some week, he would POLITELY decline the offer, as would every other driver. The reality of the sums is, we pay HUNDREDS of pounds per race(lorry & driver), NOT THOUSANDS Danny. You'll need to get some correct figures before you make future plans.
  4. Disnae matter how you cut it Danny, it would cause trouble every week, and as for lending out a £100,00 worth of transporter to others who don't value it like the owners!! no way i would support that.
  5. If we bought 1 Geraldy, which is all we can afford in today's market, who's pigeons are going in it and who's are going on our existing transporters?????????????
  6. Ma reward is NO AGGRAVATION WHATSOEVER no matter how long or how often i'm out the house for doos. She thinks the sun rises and sets on me too. Well i really mean i've finally convinced her it does
  7. Final Score.................Celtic 1, Kilmarnock 1.
  8. 1 EACH NOW.
  9. TOOSHY BOY is a ringer for DOC

She is waited on hand and foot with dinner/lunch, made by ME, Every day. Every Sunday she gets Breakfast in bed, thats after a Honeymoon Saturday night And in general wants for Nothing.....................Romantic?? Definitely!!
  11. As Hannibal says, Its great when a plan comes together
  12. Wish you atb with it Dennis, cracking loft
  13. Yip very impressed with it. Do/Can the birds re-enter above the doors??

  15. I only shop for 1, my good Lady, and i'll do that on Friday morning. I give her loadsa money and she gets the rest.
  16. Yes i do have experience of a trouble maker, it was me they made trouble for and hounded me out of the ONLY club i had ever raced in, there are more than one kind of trouble maker, the worst are usually those already amongst you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. IMO, if a fancier is WITHIN the boundary of a club, the club should be OBLIGED to let the fancier in. If a fancier does NOT live within the club boundary, then they ought to go and apply to the club who's boundary they do fall within. Club boundaries are in place for very good reasons, Unrelated to spite or victimisation, and all fanciers should respect this.
  18. You haven't moved to Tenerife by any chance Roland
  19. Never read so much RUBBISH about felt roofs. Have a 52yr old loft at the bottom of my garden that has had the same felt on it since before my Dad passed away in 1998, not a bit of dampness in the loft. I would suggest its the way it has been laid that is causing problems.
  20. I've probably got more well bred doos in my lofts just now than at Any other time, so i'm optimistic going into next season and beyond. However as you say things don't always turn out as we would like but i suppose that is part of the intrigue of keeping the doos.
  21. The vast majority of my lot are through it with only one or two still on their last flight. I'm going back Natural next season and won't pair up until mid/end February. I find trying to be at the lofts to darken them at night a real pain in the rear and my young bird results are not important to me, so back to basics with them for me.
  22. Just back down from the lofts, threw the blocks of ice out, fed the doos and put tepid water in the drinkers. Made an ass of taking photo's for class one in the Basics online show and e-mailed them off. Gonna have a nice fry up the now then watch a bit of telly. Was given a dvd to watch called "Apocolypto", its an excellent film so i might watch it again later on.
  23. I didn't know there was a Basics Facebook page, sent a friend request to build up the profile. Everyone should do likewise
  24. So far, only a light dusting of snow in Wishaw this morning, the sky looks ominous though!!
  25. Only ever seen one other Dog hit the lids like that. It was Top Honcho, the best Greyhound i've ever seen. Had a dog myself that run at Wishaw mainly, called him Pegasus and won 39 races from 83 entered, he was always in the Red Jacket (handicap races) and gave away as many as 14 lengths from the boxes, but was still up amongst them at the first bend, but his middle pace was outstanding. Had a lot of fun with him and won a few quid in the process
