Well i met the Regional Manager (South) Mr Hugh Cairns today at work and told him of all your generosity and the willingness of PB members to help raise our fantastic total of £1,765 for LAMH. He was both Gobsmacked and Totally Delighted with the sale and Everything about it. I will get a better opportunity to tell him All about PB and the MANY Charities we as a group have supported in the past and about the help we are giving now to good causes. I hope to Promote Both LAMH & Pigeon Basics to the full when we present the cheque Ps. My HUMBLE APOLOGY to Frank123 & redcheqhen & Mushroom who i omitted from my original post thanking everyone individually for your help, very disappointed in myself for this However i have edited my post and every quote to include both names on my list

Aye copper is a very valuable commodity these days and Christmas is coming, that only means more pressure to raise cash for the kids prezzies. The old Ravenscraig site has been a THRIVING business for the copper diggers for years now, thankfully though they cannot affect domestic electricity supply from there. 10's of THOUSANDS of £'s have been taken since the place closed and i know almost everybody that does it, those who were in at the start are not struggling with their fuel bills i can tell you that.

Aye Jam it would but i only bet singles, EVERY time i put a line on they get gubbed i've got to be in the bookies watching them or i don't catch the winners. Funny thing happened with the 9/4 chance. My missus' cousin asked me what i fancied in the race, i said trap 4 (2/1) but it was Fav and i don't bet Fav's, anyway he went and bet on it. I decided at the last minute to find one to bet against it and bet the 6 dog, who was 3/1 when i went up to place my bet, but it jumped to 5/2 and 9/4 Fav before they went off and 4 drifted to 5/2, 6 won it and he was livid because i had bet against 4

Never seen that one Derek, the last winner of the Spring Cup belonged to Grant McIntosh fae Paisley, wee brindle *expletive removed* and she broke the track record twice in the heats. Same man won the Pitman's with a beautiful Fawn dog, canny mind its name but it also broke the track record in the heats.
-
I had 8 bets today, 6 winners 2 numpties, gave the Mother In Law money to go to Blackpool this week and the Bookie gave me it back today Winners were 8/1, 5/1, 7/2, 3/1, 4/1 and 9/4. I only bet small so i didnae win fortunes but i won just the same

Only ever owned 1 dog and ran it at Wishaw right up til the track closed. He won 39 races from 83 ran and everybody got their money on. He done the fastest time of the Year over 500 yards, 27.55, in October 2000. Got baulked in the Pitman's Derby 2001 or he MIGHT have won it Great Dog great fun and a right few quid in the bank I also rented the Bar in the stadium from the owner that year. He was always gonna sell and i knew that but i was still gutted when it did close
