  5. Good Luck for birds working today ,the weather here at present is full cloud cover low mist on hills and no wind ,hopefully things will improve ,the weather here yesterday was crap with full cloud cover low mist and rain heavy at times ,there was a small window of dry weather between 1-30 and 3-00 when birds had a clear run through then it was back to rain and mist ,we sure have had one s-- summer .
  6. The Lanarkshire controller was in contact with me regarding weather in my area and there is no way they could have went earlier as it was full cloud cover low mist and heavy rain here all morning ,the RAF fighter jets weren't even flying the valley(that bad )we got a brief break in the weather between 1-30 and 3-00 then back to mist and rain crap day ,appreciate what you are saying regarding communication but never easy trying to get large convoy's away in limited period of good weather, only no if they had went earlier on this occasion would have got slaughtered .
  7. The race control team from lanarkshire ,Midland and Ballochmyle have been in constant contact with me since 7-30 this morning regarding weather conditions as it has been dreadful all morning here with constant low mist and heavy rain ,zero visibility on hills ,I do not think it would be appropriate of me to post what is the business of the race controllers as i am only advising them on current weather conditions in this particular area .
  8. Is there free drink tonight at marking seeing as its your gala day
  9. Full cloud cover looks like rain at any time ,hills poor visibility.
  10. Dreadful night here at present ,more like winter
  11. Had one reported and cared for by a non lady fancier who went to great lengths to have it safely returned ,sadly when the delivery firm dropped it of it was dead, rang and thanked her but could not tell her it had died .
  12. Always the same when someone helps us at working man's prices ,it upsets to many o the big boys all they want to do is rip us off

  15. Quite right not a preventative but def helps once they have it ,think if someone comes up with a 100% preventative they will become a millionaire (working on it ) WHERE IS IT AVAILABLE FROM .
  16. As I returned from a contract today i was about 2 miles north of wamphray with one of the lads that work for me ,we watched as the female peregrine followed by its screaming very large youngster flew straight over the top of us in the van carrying a kill ,we stopped at a good viewpoint and watched them being joined by the male they followed the hen with the kill of to the nest site ,this pair have been giving me major grief and today they pointed out there exact location ,wonderful wonderful sight
  17. Used one teaspoon of cinnamon mixed over feed with one teaspoon live yogurt, also one teaspoon cinnamon in drinker mix well looks messy but works ,had been giving antibiotic with not to good results felt it was knocking the guts out of the young they have responded much better reverting to the cheap option and are starting to resemble what a youngster should look like ,but got to agree far to many jumping them back in before they are fully recovered 2 weeks def not enough, just passing the problem to others ,you only have to look at fellow fanciers returns and times at clock checking (every picture tells a story )no substitute for the truth .
  18. Well done Robert ,very good flying .
  19. Thanks for reply's will read up tomorrow night .
