  1. birds are at rest in dark so easily captured but as you say a fancier wouldnt of stabbed all the birds 1 is too much blood the other is not the way fanciers dispose of birds , they obviously had no fear of been caught sounds like a disgruntled bunch of yobs , my heart goes out to this fancier i hope they have the strenght to contunue

  9. all i can say is each loft has its rounds of ailments and diseases and each pigeon is a specimen from each loft and has a immune system that that loft has given them , the problem arises when loads of birds are removed from each colony to live as one new colony , i believe this causes superbugs as all specimens may have strong immunty from certain ailments and week points susceptable to ailments

  13. i dont see why the zinc / tin sheets arent used under loft floors it would certainly stop them getting in from underneath

  16. need a licence to release i think but if birds escaped accidently then they must be native bred ones , need a nice sized wood where there be plenty of prey rodents rabbits ectra
  17. well we are european and so is owl and theres a few dotted about living in the wild so must be a native species now

  19. 2nd option is to locate its nest and put the bird back in it parents maybe still close by as it may of fallen out
  20. welcome to pigeon basics it looks like a colared dove you should perhaps get some dried pulses and soak them in water
  21. parents were a red hen and mealy cock had a red last nest other yb was tramped they built quite a big nest
  22. gets some peanut butter and mix with antifreeze and put near enty point under loft
