  10. yes they serve a purpose for jumping candidates in to selected races sometimes there not well thought out , we have a Billerclay next week then Reed then the big one at Bourge , shame it weren't Reed then Billericlay as some have fresh birds to put in which would be more birdage for convoyer which in turn would make more birdage for following race
  11. pretty much same here more training for me than racing but if have darkness ybs then certainly worth a go at to get an edge also will help hens out as im not a big lover of ybs laying eggs which they certainly do the earlier bred they are
  12. I think if you get in touch with the NPA and ask if any clubs in your area ( give your address ) you might be able to hand it over to a local fancier who might actualy know who owns it

  16. can remember last years Sennen Cove race had 2 Irish birds in both reported and both cleared of there own accord some weeks after , i'd imagine they made there own way back home , was a weird day here on Saturday lovely start all be it a tad cold bright sunshine then 2.30 pm sea fret came over sun disappeared had loads of drizzle so birds were locked out by the weather with poor visibility , saw plenty of north roads heading down most of the day around 8pm i was watching the sky's and a batch of around 200 birds flew from west to east to the coast probably looking for coast to find a bearing , certainly strange especially as visibility was shocking , your always going to get a hard race when there's north and east in the wind and sunshine the sun heats up the cold sea and creates fret , still can't fault the race controllers as line of flight would of been fine at liberation , only thing i could fault is why do they liberate so late in France when 6.15 here would be 7.15 there so at least one hour of light wasted and birds in the heat longer enroute home
