i personally beleive that management is the main thing with pigeons [complete management 365 days] fancy breeds bring fancy money ,,,,but sometimes fancybreeds dont win fancy money ,,,,,,,,good pigeons will show in the right hands and i beleive there are many good pigeons out there ,some free , some very cheap, some expensive

just been reading an article from 2003 , report from rspb they reckon in their wonderfull survey 36per cent lost due to exhaustion,,,,,,,,,34 percent lost due to collisions,,,,16 percent due to cats , and 14 percent due to raptors , ever read so much bunkumin your life ??? if this were true i would say the colissions[34 per cent] are due to raptors attaking a batch,,, plus the 14 percent killed by raptors ,, which by their own admission makes 48 percent lost due to raptors , this 3 years ago ,, has to have went up, as 3 years breeding of raptors ,,is a lot more raptors ??

if you do intend to have your pigeons droppings tested ,, take the samples at different times of the day ,and obviosly] differant parts of loft

ive found course sand mixed with loft treatment ok,, as long as bone dry,, damp sand in a loft is the worse thing for cocci and worms , they thrive in it

a quarter ,,,2 out of 8 [due to hawks ]

plenty good stuff on the market but i have tried thomsons seal [made by ronseal] its for brick or wood ,,,then coated with cuprinol fence ,,shed preserver ,, does last longer ,,but looks lovely with a fresh coat each year,,like new

could well be an aid ,,but the birds would have to be used to them b4 they would eat them

yes ,, ie if i had a captive perigrine and proper licence to own it,,,it escapes ,, and i said to you ,,thats my perigrine try and wound it and bring it down ,,as it wont survive in the wild ,,and you did mistakenly shoot it dead,,,, you could be find about £5,000,, as i said b4 the rspb are a rule unto themselves ,,,crazy :-/
