  1. yes and both Ron and Bert are both genius with pigeons and brilliant lofts too it would be hard to match there management system
  2. soonjens from the right people
  3. not really saying anything about colours to be honest colurs dont bother me just the good ones lol apart from a few they really havent took off like people said they would the roland jannens the rdd although knocking around a while there havent been enough to be around i think to pass comment the nest few year will tell it seems as there are a few here with them
  4. question and do disrespect to any one i do read results inside out but with the amount of Roland jannsens in the uk should there really be not more wining with them i do see a few doing well with them but when u look through the bhw and read the results the not to many i find i realise that there are a few but then again some people will win no matter what u give them
  5. i tought u were there allready ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  6. louis cooremans there wining where ever they go really look at the results they tell all as where other families are more hype results always tell the truth
  7. ure right timbarra but when space is an hindrance means must really when they are rearing youngers id put them on open hole u are right but to keep one loft to race maybe 5 pigeons is not ideal either it would be grand if we all had 10 acres lol there would be no problems what i do u i have mine trapping though open door i build a big wire frame to put in the space of about 4 x 4 foot when they are not out and this is put up when not raining what i would say is that a tiled roof would help greatly timbarra i do agree with u whole hartley its not ideal but at times i think means must :-/
  8. would agree with most of it but as we say many roads lead to rome i feel there no need for 4 tosses from 50 mile 1 or 2 would do for me id keep them at 30 mile or bit less even what i do if they dont come in is straight into the basket when they come home and straight back up the road again remember when training youngsters i think its better to give them 3 tosses from 15 mile lets say than 1 toss from 50 or 60 mile as the more they are in the basket the better also u are not teaching pigeons to find there way home they either have it or they don't its getting them fit is what u are dong by training and also getting them used to being in the basket
  9. mate there loads of widowhood flyers flying there cocks into a loft this size if im right (most likely not ;D) i think u can fit 12 widowhood cocks into a section this size what i would say if u can get a tiled roof onto this loft im sure if u do searches here u will see loads with these red tiles this will help greatly with ventilation although it will hold 12 boxes i think id say maybe 10 widowhood cocks is about right if u are making a stock loft out of it a cage aviary is a great thing as if u have prisoner stock u can give them baths in it and they get out in the fresh air i would go as far to say that a aviary on a stock loft is a must as what i do is lock them out there when not breeding with a grid floor then clean once a week keeps down on the work best of luck keep asking questions people on here will allways try to honest answer
  10. are they finished rearing yet
  11. how many onces u feeing per bird and what type of corn
  12. down too feeding mate what u feeding how much that will help members also how many birds u keep size of loft if we know a little about your set up we can hep better but i would say u are feeding wrong

  14. just ask me

    Race day

jimmy is right i don't think u can teach them as say yearlings or two year olds teach them when they are young once they have good habits it becomes natural for them when they come home its straight into the loft
  15. could u have 2 hens paired two one cock
  16. probably first two eggs are dead u can take them out she will sit other two that if there a cock or hen if there dead eggs there are a number of causes why that can happpen

  21. i would just like to add as far as i can see this site is run with excellent mods and also Richard and gemma do a great job its one of busiest pigeon sites out there and is run i think in an excellent manner and for someone to come on after a few posts and try to say that the site is run wrong (not if we dont know who u are ) shame on u this site the last few months has been running so smoothly im sure Richard and gemma will deal with instances of abuse as they see fit which will definitely keep me happy
