You MUST get used to the idea that you will have to cull pigeons if you want to be a successful fancier/stocksman not all you breed will make the grade or be good as racers , the ONLY option you have is to learn how to cull or have someone do it for you. not a part of the sport anyone enjoys , but the sooner learned the better your loft becomes.

I rung a late bred in 2011 with a 2010 ring , she was used as stock the next 2 years. had her first race this year , but had been trained to 40 miles 2013. Got on the combine sheet (unc) reims this year on her 5th race (122nd combine I think) lost her at Bourges

change in feed seems to bring it out - I usually have one bird that gets one of them once they are locked up after racing season - just leave it alone , it'll fall off eventually , not related to too much protein IMO as mine are on a carb based diet

there seems to be plenty of those speed signs that are powered by small solar panels around our way , the panels keep going missing

Pity I just finished making a set of 16 boxes as these would have saved me a few bob and more importantly saved lots of time these are well worth it IMO
