Guest Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 I have a surplus of widowhood hens some of which are far too good to be kept as widowers. At the end of the season I would normally have sold some to help finance my racing. However I would like to support the BOP campaign, proceeds to go 90% to POB and 10% to the site. My scanner's not working at the moment so I can't get the pedigrees on, hope to get them on in the next few days with the help of admin(?). Opening bid £15 closes on Thursday 23rd July at 9 pm, ten minute rule to apply if applicable Purchasers to pay carriage ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lot 1 06/34 (old ring l/b07)Dk Ch H Van Der Wegen x Jan Aarden This hen would not be for sale but for this cause, I hope it makes what it’s worth, if it doesn’t then there will be a bargain for someone. No 1 Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 I don't normally like distance blood, that's a cracker though, Hey Mick, you know why he's selling them don't you, he need's a new roof or roofing felt
Guest Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 I don't normally like distance blood, that's a cracker though, Hey Mick, you know why he's selling them don't you, he need's a new roof or roofing felt I'm a bit off the wall at times as many will testify on here ;D, as I said the hen is only for sale to try and help the BOP campaign she would not be for sale otherwise. I have huge problems with Percy, he is in a quarry a mile and a half away but there are loads besides and more sparrowhawks than sparrows, thankfully no Goshawks that I know of yet! So I want to do want I can, if I had the money i would give a donation instead, but I struggle every year to keep going financially so this is the best way I can help support. There'll be no racing left if we don't do something about it and I'll have no need for any birds. The roof felt is leaking you're right, but I have to move in a month or so, so this loft will go up in smoke!! Mick you don't need Amtrak to get to Ireland, I understand there's regular collections and deliveries. No 1 is I think class but only used for widowhood, I have 12 pair of stock to breed from. So why keep a class hen for widowhood when she can hopefully make some money for BOP and if she don't someone will have a bargain and whoever it is , it will give me nothing but pleasure if she breeds quality for them! I have far worse hens I have kept for myself but I only need them to keep the cocks happy!
No 1 Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Good luck with the move, hope you don't have to put up with so many hawk's when you move.
Guest bigda Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 well done albear, as that is very generous of you to donate, those fine birds, you might start the committee following suit with some more birds for the cause

Guest Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 I've found a convaluted way to produce the pedigrees, hopefully they will come across ok! Lot 5 08R Sorry slight mistake on this one it actually cost £60 and was reduced from £70. Original pedigree to purchaser. Sire out of Grandchildren of, Shetland Read, Flying Ebony; Champion Stock Cock and Super Blue; and dam out of Gson of Flying Ebony and Flying Emma, and Invincible 02 daughter of Invisible Spirit and Inteelt De Joop. Not able to bring this pedigree across it's not on my computer.
