Yet this is in the mail this morning

World's fastest bird is making a British comeback: Peregrine falcon numbers are on the up as the bird of prey learns to nest in cities and hunt urban pigeon

Breeding numbers of peregrine falcons, which can dive at a speed faster than 200mph, have hit a record high, with particularly large increases in England.

Thats why they constantly put out these stories of the decline in Bops so they can continue with more of these monsters being released in already populated areas, we never hear them tell the truth about the true decline in our small finches and song birds to these over populated rapters.

Daily Express to-day Page 9 has an article by George Mair who I believe to be a paid columnist writing for either the RSPB or BTO states, The Peregrine is in "rapid decline in Scotland" NOT RAPID ENOUGH is my thinking, with only 1769 Pairs in the UK, which yearly kill 1,291,370 of our feathered friends for food, This number off course does not take into the equation the unpaired vermin of the sky. When the tabloids such as The Telegraph yesterday had a large piece on, message carrying Pigeons, you could bet your bottom dollar the RSPB Public Relations Office would be on overtime..

There was a programme on the telly on Sunday, peregrines in the Wye Valley killing pigeons. The pair in question successfully reared 4 young last year, then it went on to tell that there's only 1500 pairs left in Britain,if 1500 pairs only rear 1 or 2 young a year I can't see how they can be on the decline.Ive seen a pair only a few miles from me rear 3 every year for the past 5 year.
