THE FIFER Posted November 28, 2017 Report Posted November 28, 2017 I was wondering re those, if you had an accident who would be to blame ??? (my thoughts)
REDCHEQHEN Posted November 28, 2017 Report Posted November 28, 2017 Exactly - a minefield If you have no control over the car at all would it be the manufacturer ( or the other party in a 2 car collision for instance) But then can you drink and drive - as technically who is in charge? I hope it never comes about
THE FIFER Posted November 28, 2017 Author Report Posted November 28, 2017 it was just something I was thinking about,
Mattydoos79 Posted November 28, 2017 Report Posted November 28, 2017 I rather drive and be in control of my car I don’t trust those electrical gizmos the only thing I use is the cruise control on motorways or duel carriageways and sat navs in case I get lost hehe that’s it
Kyleakin Lofts Posted November 28, 2017 Report Posted November 28, 2017 I think the final responsibility lies with the driver, but how do they know that the technology has failed? Not for me, I've watched Will Smith in I Robot. It is the same with all electric cars. Pie in the sky stuff just now. I think 2020 is too ambitious.
paddymac Posted November 28, 2017 Report Posted November 28, 2017 The thought of driverless cars doesn't fill you with much confidence, not much good to us fanciers looking to train our birds
Guest mambo Posted November 28, 2017 Report Posted November 28, 2017 uber has ordered 24,000 all electric cars and they will support the remote controlled cars also when this comes about. the motor ways will have a speed limit of 20 mph everyware their will be no taxi drivers no Arabs selling oil as all cars left will be electrical. You phone app will order the car for you. and it will return to a large warehouse to get recharged.and should you want to go a long journey you will be made take a train and get a car at train station if needed. These cars will not be owned by you orI but large companies or insurance group's.
