I have a pair of red chequer Kirkpatricks that I wish to give away, as I stated previously earlier when I was giving stock birds away it was because I am still cutting down because I suffer badly from pigeon lung, this pair of birds cannot be transferred as the chap that gave them to me , a club member , suddenly died last Saturday of a heart attack while waiting for birds returning from the race, so if somebody wants them please contact me bearing in mind they cannot be transferred , these birds have never been out while he had them and have never been out while I have had them.

Also shortly I will be posting on here first all the things we have to dispose of belonging to him, lofts , baskets and all his birds plus a few other things related to pigeons, he has 3 lofts , one is a small stock loft where one section has never had a bird in it, but as I said I will post up everything belonging to him soon, they spent a fortune on birds and I know he has Kirkpatricks and lately he bought in birds from Mike Ganus and the lot will be cheaply priced just to get the lot away

Hi there, just read your very kind offer but am a bit concerned about the transfere statement, I am just starting up and have recently purchased a number of ybs from a bereivment auction and was told I could get them transfered by sending a trans form to RPRA, when I spoke to the RPRA last week I had another concern as one of my other transfere forms had not been signed,I was told by the RPRA to just send in as normal as they write to previous owner and if no objection is raised within 14 days the transfere goes through anyway. your knoledge in this matter is greater than mine so any help/guidence would be good Cheers Chris.

You can transfer them, just get his wife or who ever is dealing with the birds to sign it and note "deceased" on the transfer.

Transfer of birds - owner deceased - Next of kin to sign or club sec with club stamp only reason I know - in the same position

and that is the directive of RPRA  I take it SHU would be the same.

nice offer

any news on the sale of the rest of the birds?

They are a pair of older stock doos so dont see why anyone would have any reason for transferring them? It's not like you'll be able to race them  ;)

I know that up here SHU members can send a small letter explaining that the original owner has died/left sport/emigrated & the transfer usually goes through no problem.

But as Alf says why transfer old stock birds that don't fly out unless you wish to show them.
