Kyleakin Lofts Posted June 14, 2017 Report Posted June 14, 2017 Never liked these tower blocks. Always concerned about this happening. Very sad time indeed.
paddymac Posted June 14, 2017 Report Posted June 14, 2017 Flames still coming from the building tonight, God bless all those poor people that have lost their lives in this tragedy.
Guest mambo Posted June 14, 2017 Report Posted June 14, 2017 This puts living in high rise flats,in a very scary position, will need outside fire escapes fitted, and sprinklers, fire drills all above floors would best be advised what to do, should his happen again, need to, let taps over flow in all houses and such like till things are put in place, for safety. such a sad day for the people of London

We need to look at the politics involved also, May had a private visit to the site today, and met none of the survivers, what does that tell us? her party are partly responsible for this, voting against building regs and fire regs, most of her MPs are property owners who rent out housing, and don't want the extra costs of safety etc.......just my views
sandy25 Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 This was always going to happen that was always on the cards along with cost cutting penny pinching by property owners sanctioned by governments what do ordinary lives matter against the monies made by indifference to those who rent these death traps how long before it happens again ...The only real answer to this is to immediately condemn them all on the grounds that the dangers of these buildings has never been improved and facts are they should never been given planning permission in the first place perhaps those who granted the planning permissions should now be arrested and charged with corpoate manslaughter someone must be made to pay the piper all the way up the scale and for those who are responible for years of neglect to do the right thing to correct the situation they should all be removed from public office and jailed for something make something up do them christ sake we cannot allow this to continue people are being killed dying a most horific death no one deserves that in this day if these flats are not condemned country wide we really need to hang our heads in shame As for the present governments indifference what else could we expect from people who only look upon us as a scource of income for them nothing else oh lest we forget .we are the cannon fodder useful for cleaning up their mistakes or just to suffer the consequences of another f'd up dirty deal ..rant over
