Ive just re-joined this year so i dont think i can sit in..

But if anyone is going for a pint and a blether after it and id come up for that..

I'm sure you can bud ,but you can't take part on last years business , ,look at it this way if you packed it in again ,would you be allowed to sit in at the next AGM ? So get yer wee back side up there see you .

Anyone else know the rules , jonesy joined our club a month or so back ,so is he entitled to go to fed AGM , I think he can't have an I put on last years business but yes he can for this seasons business ?

I'm not a pigeon politician but you'd think he could vote on this years business but not last after all he's paid for this year and surely can vote where he's racing from and costs ,pools etc but it's pigeon men we're dealing with so you never know

good question

i dont think he can attend as hes not a fed member till after the agm , when the new season starts

if he wishes to attend he would have to pay this years fed fee aswell as next years

look at how your club works - new members wishing to join cant attend the meeting/agm

when they vote on membership , i know your fed may not vote on membership as usually

any new club members get accepted into the fed automatically

also has your club submitted his name to the fed as a new member for next year

correct me if im wrong , as only my opinion

Of course he can attend but cannot participate in any business in the past year i.e. after the balance sheet has been passed and matters arising have been dealt with,at that stage you are dealing with the forthcoming years business and as he will be a member he is entitled to a vote......JBC/...

fair enough ,

i didnt think non members were allowed to attend the fed agm

i thought that was one of the reasons we had to sign in

or could be just a record of members who attended

does this mean any member of the public can sit in

I just waited down stair.. just in the Fed don't want to cause any drama... years and years of AGMs ahead of me,.

Just glad I'm back in about th doos... best sport EVER

If your club has paid it's dues to the Fed including your money to join then you are a member and can attend the meeting. Lanarkshire Fed dues are paid by end of December (which is AFTER our AGM) from the date dues are paid All club members are Fed members and can participate fully at any meeting.

Has your club paid their dues yet (including yours) Jonesy ??

question for you john

how can clubs pay dues before fed meeting as fed dues can/are decided at agm for the following year

unless no proposal for fees are submitted

can fees be decided at agm without a proposal

because honouraniums are voted on every year without any proposals

Good point Davy they would be set at the AGM.....They must give their members rings before getting paid for them but we (Well clubs I have been a member of) have to pay up front for them along with yer membership fees for Club Fed and SHU. If our AGM was after 1st Jan there would need to be rules in place to give fanciers the right to get their rings in first week of January.

Wonder how these guys deal with this who have their AGM After new year.

So Davie here's one for you , he joined for this year ,as you say can't attend meeting as he's not a member , he fir whatever reason packs them in again before next AGM , is he entitled to go to the next AGM as he's paid his dues for season ?

you are probably right

i just thought that new members may come under new business

and new members wouldnt be allowed to be present for that

as their elegability to join could be up for discussion like in a club
