Scotland played out of their skins last night at our local rugby ground,I didn't go but by all accounts it was a great game New Zealand 18 : Scotland 18.

Got nothing to do with guts it's about your ability to play football and we don't have a team of players with the class of other nations no matter which team they play for

Sadly Ian, you have hit the nail on the head with truths.

 

Again Scotland showed their tenacious spirit individually ... BUT fail yet again per nigh normal to play as a team.

They have this built in notion to give all, which they do, and think that as they all do the same it must work. If they laid of the ball more and passed etc. ... well...!

Same happened to their best squad of recent decades the 1978 - 1982 W.C squad.

The great Jock Stein had it right saying 'They won't play with out siders whether Scots or not'! Hence why he moulded a great 'Localised' squad to great success.

 

No two ways about it Scotland has produce some really great players ...Indeed many English sides have used one in the engine room in the middle of the park.

Most of your player dont play in the Scottish teams . A lot of them have played at a descent level in England and should do better .
