18inchs,its where we keep our wood,bowls wire netting etc.and the cat can get the mice.

That`s the loft up guys. Measured my distance and it`s 16 inches ,so happy wae that.

I would put down some spikes at the corners and screw your loft to them

 

don't want it to blow over and lose your stockbirds
