philg50 Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 Hi Ryan its 330 mile tae Banff ,I read an old article once about a Banff doo making the race and it was out of time i think it was 1963 and if i am nae mistaken it was Waldie or some of his freens cant remember

alec guinness Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 In 1962 one of our neighbouring smallholders ROBERT FULLER OF MILTON OF CAMPSIE,raced and won the Lerwick club of Great Britain timing the only bird in race time!!!!!From the FAROE ISLANDS the hen was named Faroe queen and a lovely diploma hung above one of Roberts pig pens which I always looked at when visiting as a boy.graet memories. :partick-thistle-Crest:
