ozzytone Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 What is the allowable error fast or slow your association allows for the old mechanical clocks ?. Ours allows 1 second plus or minus per hour over the race time, if the error is greater , time penalties are imposed. Is this about the same as in the UK. Cheers Oz.
Delboy Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 3 minutes per day ( 24 hours ) if I remember correctly

ozzytone Posted July 7, 2016 Author Report Posted July 7, 2016 Looks like our Association in South Australia have got it wrong, for mechanical clocks I see it is 5 secs per hour in the UK and 1 sec per hour for the electro/mechanical quartz clocks. They have just applied the 1 sec per hour over the lot. Thanks Oz
Kyleakin Lofts Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 Maybe they are trying to steer towards modern clocks by putting on this tight margin.
