Mechanical Clocks

What is the allowable error fast or slow your association allows for the old mechanical clocks ?. Ours allows 1 second plus or minus per hour over the race time, if the error is greater , time penalties are imposed. Is this about the same as in the UK.

3 minutes per day ( 24 hours ) if I remember correctly

Looks like our Association in South Australia have got it wrong, for mechanical clocks I see it is 5 secs per hour in the UK and 1 sec per hour for the electro/mechanical quartz clocks. They have just applied the 1 sec per hour over the lot.

Maybe they are trying to steer towards modern clocks by putting on this tight margin.
