Race both - but would prefer to race just hens. We've had our best results with hens since we started racing them and think we should just concentrate on them (the hens that is) - they are far more consistent than the cocks.

hens will beat cocks on roundabout 9 times out of 10, if i hadn't packed the birds in this year i would have just raced hens,as i always said these cocks needn't have been away, plus, the cocks would have been in the boxes waiting for them on return.

I planned on just racing hens bt at the last minute decided I never wanted to waste my cocks... get the Ray Knight dvd on vandaheede very simple system

do you that may be down to the roundabout system being more suitable for hens than cocks .

yes, it was for me, as i was getting 5 or 6 hens most weeks before i got a cock.
