Have a 3 yr old hen that feels like she is in egg but there is nothing there her vent bones are wide apart and very swollen at the rear , she has been like this for a while 2weeks eating ok but a bit distressed . Now have her in basket and given her an anti imflametary

Any ideas ?

Nope Steven but wife had dog at vet today and asked and that's exactly what she thought it might be , is the a cure ?

I have only seen it once and it was in a club mates loft. I seem to remember something getting pushed back in and a stitch but it's a long time ago. Think it's related to the shell production but you would have to look it up mate

I had a hen have a prolapse Colin and I pushed it all back in with my finger and I timed her from the Gold cup the same year.

She is a breeding hen del ,just bought her a few months ago from bob besant so not sure she will be able to produce but will try one or two things .
