maybe we should be looking to resolve this and the ONLY people who can do this is Richard and Duncan

I also feel that Stuart SHOULD have an input as far as the poll and prize goes

reading through the threads I think the majority of members think (and I could be wrong ) the poll should be scrapped

so what happens to the prize

well its Christmas time

and Christmas is a time for family and CHILDREN

why not think about giving the prize to some young fancier

and no I'm not talking about those members in the poll

(AND IM NOT TALKING ABOUT MY JACK )

the future of the sport is in YOUNG FANCIERS    

I remember sending greeting to a young fancier in Scotland (I think) who in their first season was winning well young Sammy is another that comes to mind

the poll was supposed to be a bit of craic (fun)

I honestly don't think ANY of the members in the poll were really fussed about the prize more interested in the craic (fun) of it read down the list all the members apart from myself (and NO I never voted for myself the 1 vote) most are on giving advice birds and humour

 

Hi Micko as i had stated in the previous poll i would not acept this 'prize for myself' indeed i would give it to little sam , if we all  showed the little sams of this world a bit of kindness and help then this great sport will continue , theres many computer games that dont need attention 365 days of the year we need to encourage new blood and help and nurture them in to become our future champions , without them our sport will be put aside to the history books

I would guess the way things have turned out on what started out as a bit of fun and to encourage people and ended up doing the total opposite there are very few that would want to get involved in being nominated or voting in any other polls run here

This publicity gimmic was thought up by stuart to promote his buisness dealings with  raymond whatsitsname,stuart knows a good thing when he sees one,and the £100 voucher for a squeaker would cost his buisness no more than £5 to bred 1or2 birds,because his stock birds,after breeding 2 rounds of youngbirds,would be doing nothing at all for the next 10 months of the year.£500 hard cash should have been the prize put up,a worthwhile amount for pigeon basics good cause charity.

I think stuart should have the last say about this poll,to close or not,but if any other offer is made to pigeon basics in the future,at least £500hard cash should be put on the table ,because this site will give the sponsor plenty of views by many pigeon fanciers .

i think the site is ready to inplode , theres a lot of angry members now and i think its time for us all to rethink before our next post, if you want to lose the site and banter we have ,carryon with the slight hostilities and we might all have a lovely xmas and a happy new year  without pigeon basics........now is the time to act sensible and not with anger....lets start a fresh and try to get back to pigeon basics and not chat basics.

this constant bikering is spoiling it for youngsters on here and new members.

This is like being back at school(evil) I thought this was a bad idea and posted so at the time. I like Duncan and the site would suffer a big loss without him but no member is bigger than the site and if there is a problem and you wan't to persevere with this x-factor type thing then delay the voting until Duncans issues have been sorted out. This I think would be the fairest thing to do. If it is scrapped now then it will be forever cropping up. Get Duncan back on line then re-do the voting. I still feel it is'nt proper to single out any one individual from this great site. It's been very entertaining though(evil)

Dovescot has not been banned from the site, nor indeed stopped from using it, he was pm'd from webmaster about his user warning on friday morning and was told it would be explained in further detail that day or over the weekend, he told webmaster he would wait on his reply.

As yet there has been no reply.

There were a couple of nominated members that were left out of the original Pool A/B polls because of their conduct on the site.

 

As I have said numerous times before I'm not willing to issue statements when members are warned and banned so I shant be going into any details other than it was unfortunate timing that DoveScot got his warning between the two polls. And after excluding other members from the original for the very same reason I believe it was only right to do the same here.

 

When I posted the first polls there were several members conduct being looked into however I felt it unfair to exclude them from the poll before a decision had been made.

 

I apologise that I have not posted up anything regarding this sooner.

 

I will close the topic/poll at 6pm Monday evening.
