gulkie Posted January 22, 2015 Author Report Posted January 22, 2015 If they Are Kilińg non native birds why have they not killing of ruddy ducks andSome other types that Are not native to this country???
Belge Posted January 22, 2015 Report Posted January 22, 2015 Did you not see good ole Chris Packham on BBC 2 Winter Watch with an Eagle Owl on his arm talking for a while in favour of leaving the Eagle Owls alone in the British Countryside. It sounded like he was actually arguing for them to be considered a previously persecuted native British species that was just starting to reintroduce itself. He had a few words to say against the people (I guess RSPB) who wanted to remove them whilst asking for protection for some introduced species. He looked to be genuinely supportive of Eagle Owls coming back even though he did say they were ruthless killers who would eat anything they found in their territory during the night... including other raptors....
ghostrider Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 If they Are Kilińg non native birds why have they not killing of ruddy ducks andSome other types that Are not native to this country??? When I was carp fishing up and down the country for monsters roaming some large lakes, gravel pits etc.I used to watch the ruddy ducks, weird little things, with there blue beaks,no threat to anything (baits etc,or wildlife)One angler told me they were culling the Ruddy ducks in England, ( some years back )Why because some Ruddys were migrating over the channel into France and mating with there ruddysWhich were different to there's. Such a shame
just ask me Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 they dont do that much damage to falcons they dont kill these with any regularity at all you might get the odd pair that will take a few
ghostrider Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 Eagle owl they reckon has been here since God knows when !!!!Man over time exterminated them over many centuriesIt seems now they are migrating from,Sweden,Finland etcEagle Owls can fly over a range 250/300 miles it is said. Some countries are trying to encourage them to breed.Did not the Romans/Normans,bring over to these shores of ours....the Peregrine !!! Atb
Roland Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 Dafra states that they are native to the U.K. As such it is illegal to kill them ... But then again the RSPB are a law unto them selves eh!
just ask me Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 200 miles to a bird of prey is noting seen a falcon clocked in the north of England into the south of Ireland then again in the south of France they will probably do 200 miles in a day
ghostrider Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 Dafra states that they are native to the U.K. As such it is illegal to kill them ... But then again the RSPB are a law unto them selves eh! They have Control,MONEY,LANDAnd voices in the governmentEnough said!!!
