Can one mix really do pretty much everything or would it do as a base mix to add to for rearing, racing, moulting etc? However I don't think it is the full package, to do everything it states.Personally I want to be in control of when my birds get Protein, Carbs and Fats,during the racing season with Multi- Task being an all rounder you do not have this option. I am also dubious on it's protein content for rearing babies. However that being said it's variety to offer the parents is a good option, with myself using 3 different breeding mixes and feeding my breeders 3 times a day at least it may be a very good option. For myself being predominately sprint orientated, as said in previous post I want to be in charge especially the protein content, as after Monday personally I want as little or as none protein content in my grain, as I then want high carbs and more importantly then carbs I want high fats. However there is a possibility you could use it, similar maybe to how you suggested, but with the amount of mixes on the market, you could achieve better and cheaper compositions from buying ready made grains. However no mix is perfect, hence the reason I try and offer 3 different brands and 3 different compositions to my breeders. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

neila Posted March 10, 2015 Report Share Posted March 10, 2015 Hi Mate I am mixing it 50/50 for now , when I race I tend to mix in 20 per cent barley to what ever I feed to the last couple of days of the week as I tend to over feed .Then over 200 miles I add 10 per cent barley if I stick with the multi task I think it will need about 30/40 per cent maize adding after Monday or Tuesday I just wanted to try it out so I thought I would buy a bag Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

With Redband and Rice added near end of the week and the birds were in good order on this regime.I know little about this side of things so it's left to my brother to decide what feeding and supplements are used. The one thing i do know for a Fact is that it's NOT what feeding you use that brings success, it is what you feed it TO that matters most.
