Guest TAMMY_1 Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 AT THE MEETING TODAY THERE WERE TWO CANDIDATES THAT STOOD FOR ELECTION TO TAKE THE PRESIDENTS POST J BARLOW I NOBLE J BARLOW WON THE VOTE BY 14 TO 12 AT THE START OF THE MEETING MR SCOTT GIBSON SAID HE WOULD NOT BE STANDING FOR THE PRESIDENTS JOB AS HE DID NOT FEEL HE WAS READY SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT HAD ONE NOMINATION MR I NOBLE WHO WAS ELECTED JUNIOR VICE PRESIDENT HAD TWO CANDIDATES SCOTT GIBSON AND SAM MCFADZEAN SCOTT GIBSON WON BY 13 VOTES TO 10 SO THERE YOU HAVE IT

Maybe they have arranged for 2 members to fly from each loft, sounds daft I know but these people are desperate desperate people would put nothing past them

Well certainly stole the thunder from the conspiracy theorists, can't really rig an election if you don't know who the candidates will be on the day. Only susprise here is no post (yet) of: "thank goodness it wisnae that guy Noble" Don't know Ian Noble but again feel he had no justice from the present election system, some people can't cope with an instant decision on the most important question of the day (to some) tea or coffee? And the very next thing I expect to hear is that Elvis is alive an well and keeping pigeons in Dumbarton, making up the numbers. Just about the only one not yet used, and level par with the other Dumbarton 'theories'. Beginning to wonder if there's been a misreading of the Constitution objective 'the provision of an organisation for persons interested in pigeons' as 'the provision of an organisation for persons interested in pigeons keeping others from enjoying the same interest'.
