pigeonpete Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 After sitting down and considering whats happen in the last couple of week and having no joy over my problem trying to get my son in partnership with me and to be allowed to basket on friday night i feel iv no other way but to finish in the sport. im now been blame for coursing trouble and having local flyer's pulling me up and acusing me of such thing and asking me to resige from the club. after speaking to fed sec today and what he come out with was appalling and very distaseful. i will fly around 20 y/b this season then iv done altogether. at the end of the season their be loft stock and barral free to anyone who is starting up and hope their dont have the same crap we'v had. really sorry to hear that sean!!! :o did you have no luck with unions?? there must be another way surely?? you dont strike me as the type of person to sit there and take it!! dont let these bullies win! that what they want, you got to keep this up for your son sean, think of him aswell, he loves and enjoys helping you, so are you going to let all that go because of 1 or 2 " dark age muppets" any help i can be sean message me, plz dont give up mate for yours and your sons sake!! you will regret it in 12 months time! i know it must be tough, but chin up and ride the storm regards
tubbles Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Sean, Don't let them idiots get to you mate. Just try your best in the club. Come the end of the season anything could happen, It takes a long time for a pigeon fliers brain to kick into gear mate : ( no offence to anyone here ), when they realise that you will leave the club and tell everyone about them they may well have a rethink of the rule that is stopping you. If you are asked by any outsiders please tell them that ANY other club would have let you in but this brainless bunch that you applied to are stopping you. All we need is for someone to get the wrong end of the stick about the sport in general. We already have enough problems. Good luck in the season mate and plz try another club if there is one that you are in the boundary of. dunno if its worth it but i would report them to the union that you are in too. :-/
madmaxlofts Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 what was actualy said sean if its bad anough could you take them to the centre
Guest REDFOXKRAUTHS Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 sean ring the rpra tomorrow and tell them theyll have the feds sec guts for garters!sorry to here though
Ian McKay Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Hi Sean Do not give up let the dust settle stay away from them for now. Fly your birds and try another club. If you can get some wins SUCCESS IS SWEET All the best for 2007 go beat them ! ! ! Ian
cemetary Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Sean, Get in touch with the rpra mate and put your case over to them what was said by your secretary, the sport is needing young persons, just like your son to come into the sport, it looks like these morons are chaseing people away from the sport. Keep your chin up mate, never mind they muppets.
THE FIFER Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 sean the manager and the council of the rpra has just brought in the ets becuase they must do all to help the disabled by law, i would write to the general manager, or better still e-mail him its quicker, and ask how ur club is getting away with what the are doing, dont resign because once u do u will not be able to do much, have a go with the rpra manager first, they have brought in ets because of the disabled act, it will do no harm to get in touch with him, and if u get no joy i would see ur local press, hope u get what u want for ur son all the best.
pigeonscout Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Breed the birds and enter them in one loft races you get a training result every day and no sit from club members. There will come a time when pigeon fanciers who have put people out of the sport will be begging them to come back to their club to make up 5 members.
Guest WINGS 04 Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 DO NOT GIVE UP CAN YOU NOT FLY FOR FED RESULTS WHAT I WILL SAY IS THAT 90% OF PPL THAT HAVE PIGEONS ARE NOT SPORTS MEN AS THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO KEEP ANYONE THAT WINS OUT OF THERE CLUB

Guest TAMMY_1 Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 You are a better man than that Sean stick to your guns and fight all the way for what is right
Guest Paulo Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 take no notice of the tossers sean. theres tons of aholes in the sport rise above it you only go out to the club once a week rest of the time your with your birds so ignore all the personalities and just enjoy the birds.
tskyes Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 well said paulo took the words out of my mouth !
Henrik Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Sean maybe you want to contact your Union and just point out to them that in this day and age Discrimination on the grounds of age is illegal. Also as you say your son is disabled get them to look up the DDA and I think you will find they cannot keep your son out.
paul l Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 LOOK ON THE F5RONT OF TODAYS BHW ALL ABOUT DDA and I think you will find they cannot keep your son out. SO GOOD LUCK MATE PAUL
frank-123 Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/DisabledPeople/RightsAndObligations/DisabilityRights/DG_4001070 screw them to the wall everyone of the members of the club can be fined for discrimination
Guest paulrstokes Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Hi Sean Please stick with this, I would suggest you make some phone calls RPRA UNION Any national or local tabloid you can think of. You simply cannot let them get away with this, not only for your sons sake but for the sake of the next unfortunate fancier that these idiots try and drive out of the sport
Lightning McQueen Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Dont let them beat ya!!! Enjoy your hobby for your boys sake, he loves them.. Try and make them eat their words - Let the birds do the talking!! I know its gonna be hard, but i think you have the right to take the club to the cleaners
Ronnie Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 If the worst comes to the worst mate join the national or some other big club. And when the birds come good watch them all come grovelling to you. I think i know how ya feeling sometimes you say to yaself is all the fighting and arguing worth it when you could spend ya time doing more constructive thing's.But you dont have to leave the sport just leave the club and join a bigger one you may have to cut the birds down to save on cost but at least you and ya lad will still be flying and enjoying the birds. All the best mate and keep ya chin up.
