frank-123 Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 think it will have to go this way Sammy just for the reason explained at the agm it takes so long to drive about collecting baskets from every club the cost in time and fuel makes it no longer viable as we have lost our contractor who took the pigeons for a greatly reduced rate as i said before if club's want to keep there identity it will cost them a lot more in dues

I WENT TO THE AGM AND LISTENED TO WHAT EVERYONE HAD TO SAY AND AT THE END OF THE DAY WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO PAY A HELL OF THE LOT MORE TO RACE OUR BIRDS NEXT YEAR! JUST ON THE FUEL INCREASES ALONE IN THE LAST YEAR THE BIRDAGE WILL HAVE TO GO 29p AND THATS NOT TAKING INTO ACCOUNT HOW MUCH MORE WE WILL BE PAYING FOR TRANSPORT NEXT YEAR SO DONT BE SURPRISED IF YOU ARE PAYING AROUND THE 40p A BIRD MARK FROM THE OFF NEXT SEASON

We in the East of Scotland Fed have been central marking for years and we still have our separate clubs with pools ad prizes. One benefit that comes out of it is you can have Federation pools every week and not just on Open races.
frank-123 Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 central marking is allabout having to travel more expense to member to save money for fed then why do we pay fed dues you pay fed dues just now to run the fed as the fed will be running at a loss next year you,me and every member will have to make this short fall up we do have the option of keeping club marking the same then it will be very expensive or central marking then it will not be as expensive after homer's post the other night i looked at the transport cost with my brother in law who has his own transport company anderson's were doing us a massive discount its not to you look a little closer
