Hi Bart

South Lanarkshire will receive at Blackpool there new transporter if its finished

Has 80 new Geraldy crates and a capacity of 3200 birds well in excess of there maximum birdage last year

Yes I voted for the east route because my memory is still excellent and clearly remember the Carlisle y/b races

What I want is for the race program AGM to only recommend 1/2/ or 3 race programs to the full AGM and this to be published before the full AGM ie ON THE AGENDA

Cheers

Hi bart

Your missing my point Nobody knows the intended race program until the day of the race program AGM

Now if my club went in force and voted to go North and won I consider this to be unfair , but if the North proposal along with an other had to go to the full AGM then it is certain it would fail

George Bain BEM should be a good addition to LF committee

Cheers

Thanks Vinny for correcting me

South Lanarkshire transporter holds as recommended by Geraldy 80x32 =2560 birds but SL put 28 birds in crates so capacity is 2240 birds

i get your point now homer49

i guess the agm and the race programme meeting got split because you would be there all day and night

hope your friend does bring something to the table because we need it

why was he awarded the british empire medal?

HOMER ARE YOU INTERESTED IN GOING EAST IS THIS WHY YOU ARE WANTING TO FIND OUT ABOUT IT???

Hi Alf

Like you I think the East route is safer by this I mean if 90% of Scottish birds are on the East then the probability of getting hit every week is diminished

To race in my club will have to go West with O/Bs but will wait and see what happens for the Y/Bs

Cheers

Hi Bart

Piece of news first Ian Henderson has asked a local haulier for a quote and has received one which he has given to the president the company is called Farren ? from Wishaw

George Bain was a long serving police officer and heavily involved in The Princes Trust but not exactly sure why the award

So what ur saying is we are going to get slaughtered as far as the y/bs are concerened.Experienced birds ,if that is the case will also be subject to this threat, wots the difference, and wot would be your solution. If we all go down this route with no divides surely there is safety in numbers.

I THINK THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED TO GO WEST ARE IN FOR A BIG SHOCK RE LOSSES NEXT YEAR BUT WE'LL WAIT AND SEE HOW THEY GET ON BUT 1 THING FOR SURE THE BULK OF MY BIRDS WONT BE GOING WEST THATS FOR SURE AND NONE OF MY Y/B'S WILL EVER BE RACED WEST NO CHANCE...

THATS MORE OR LESS WHY NEARLY ALL THE FEDS IN SCOTLAND GO EAST FOR "SAFETY IN NUMBERS" SO I THINK IT'S CRAZY THAT LANARKSHIRE IS GOING WEST

In the mean time all these hawks that are down the west side have been starving all these years because there have been no pigeons flying from there ,the guy across the road from me flies in the mid fed and he has lost 1/2 not a lot and thats him flying them out to 200 mile as well ,

YES ALEX WE KNOW ABOUT THAT QUOTE BUT STILL HAVE TO GIVE OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES THEIR PLACE RE THEM GETTING THEIR QUOTES IN ASWELL BEFORE THE FED MAKES A DECISION

So why dont lanarkshire and midland liberate together and the possibility of getting hammerd would be minimum.

DONT THINK IT WORKS THAT WAY AS A PAIR OF PEREGRINES WILL TURN 10'000 PIGEONS SO DONT SEE HOW THAT WILL HELP..REMEMBER COMING UP THROUGH THE HILLS IN DUMFRIES THE PIGEONS ONLY HAVE A FOOTBALL PITCH'S WIDTH TO GET AWAY FROM PERCY BUT OVER IN THE EAST IT HAS AS MUCH ROOM AS IT NEEDS

Hi Vinny

Yes thats what Iam saying with Y/Bs

You answered the second part yourself experience

Old birds that get hit will make for cover or turn tail and find another route

Y/Bs will panic and scatter in any direction

Hi Sammy

The RSPB have a loft in the Lead Hills to feed them( true ) They are feed but not watered so they have to seek water

Is that 1 or 2 or half Was that y/bs this year for I know they had 3 races from Crawford and thats not 200 but 30

they will be subject to this threat no mater wot route they take, some will come throught this some wont, thats life.Thats part of pigeon racing in the modern day we will adapt.

IT'S ALRIGHT SAYING THAT THE DOOS WILL ADAPT VINNY BUT WHY ARE THERE SO MANY PEOPLE IN LANARKSHIRE WHO ARE NOW SAYING THEY WONT SEND Y/B'S DOWN THE WEST ROUTE?
