Blue Chequer Pied Posted September 11, 2014 Report Posted September 11, 2014 I remember a couple of years ago my ybs got burnt with 3 red arrow planes travelling up the m74 in celebration of the Olympics. Bloody horrible watching that Derek, they had no chance. Wrong place wrong time.
Guest darren cantrill Posted September 12, 2014 Report Posted September 12, 2014 It's gutting and proof that it happened poor things they didn't stand a chance
paddymac Posted September 12, 2014 Report Posted September 12, 2014 Thats the reason the NIPA switched their race points from the east coast of Ireland to more central locations as there was a few incidents like this when the birds were coming up over Dublin airport.
bibendium Posted September 12, 2014 Report Posted September 12, 2014 Horrible to watch , and sad that it is, more importantly there was no loss of human life.
walterboswell59 Posted September 12, 2014 Report Posted September 12, 2014 think it happens a lot more often than wee know derek
bibendium Posted September 12, 2014 Report Posted September 12, 2014 I remember a couple of years ago my ybs got burnt with 3 red arrow planes travelling up the m74 in celebration of the Olympics. This season Ayrshire had a disaster from Dumfries YB, The next day the Red arrows were at the opening of the Commonwealth games, I wonder if there is a connection, if the arrows were training at Prestwick because the south of the fed had decent returns but the north got hammered.
b.massey Posted September 12, 2014 Report Posted September 12, 2014 Just another thing to add to long list of how hard racing pigeons is becoming...
