pjc
Before this goes of on any other tangents has Circovirus been confirmed by testing? There is a lot of Adenovirus (youngbird sickness) also around where youngbirds are dieing within hours! If it is Circovirus then every loft that sent birds should be tested and treated to prevent further spread. Phil
THE FIFER
Any member being suspended by a club has the right of appeal to their Federation, if not satisfied with fed decision then they have the right of appeal to the SHU, if its the Federation that has suspended them then they have the right of appeal to the SHU, to appeal you must lodge an appeal to the secretary of the body you are appealing against, within 14 days, along with £30,

Merlin
I hope common sense prevails and when/if on appeal to S.H.U. this knee jerk reaction to an illness, and this Draconian decision to ban this person from racing,is overturned, for what was basically his honesty,if it was done for reasons of cross infection, should all visitors to lofts have also been included in ban and this would have to include incubation period also,by selecting to punish only one, this is victimisation, anyway you care to look at it,I have every sympathy for the predictament this fancier finds finds himself in,through no fault of his own, its help and encouragement he needs, not to be treated the way he has, all lofts are capable of being in same position,at any time. naedoos
No objections to "entering my birds, paying my money, and taking my chances" but this was advertised as being "the most comprehensive race coverage from the moment your bird arrives, to when it is timed-in in the final race" thought this would have entitled me to hear what has happened to my birds? Also agree that "if circovirus, then every loft that sent birds should be tested and treated to prevent futher spread" would have no problems with that. Yes, Kenny is a nice guy and I also wish him all the best for the future, would just be nice to get some information or an update on how our birds are doing, or if they're still there!
