buster151 Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 This is the RPRA response to this non-fanciers attempts to get birds owner or someone close for help, I gave her the Ring Secs details he said not his bird but someones in club no interest at all, I said to contact the RPRA and below is the response Hello, contacted the RPRA who were not helpful and would not give me details of local fanciers. The woman I spoke to said not to feed it and it will go home. So guess I will have to try that option. Got owners mobile number but no luck at present. Anyway you have done all you can to help me and many thanks. If there is a happy ending I will let you know.. This is what we are up against
IanO Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 Terrible response puts the whole sport to shame. RPRA should know better.!!!
Guest bigda Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 p*****g against the wind there, would be hard for a girl
Tony C Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 I believe the RPRA went down this route (withholding names & addresses) to stop so called pest controllers contacting fanciers direct and claiming money for the pigeons return. Get the lady to re report it using this link http://www.rpra.org/stray-reporting/ and hopefully the RPRA will contact the owner reminding them of their obligations.
Guest Owen Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 I have reported several strays this year and the RPRA gave me details of the Owners by email each time. I think someone is telling "porkies".
Tony C Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 I have reported several strays this year and the RPRA gave me details of the Owners by email each time. I think someone is telling "porkies".Again, as far as I'm aware the RPRA will release details to a fellow pigeon fancier with a bona fide loft number.
R.A.M.C.63 Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 Reported bird to RPRA las week on thier web page, phone call following day from owner, aslo got E-mail with name address owner from RPRA, that was las week,
Roland Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 Don't see why any one is getting hot under the collar for the RPRA retort. It is plain common-sense and very helpful.
