me Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Was I dreaming thought their was a thread on here about Kirky Club?
me Posted June 21, 2008 Author Report Posted June 21, 2008 yes its been removed Thats pathetic, remove offending posts if necessary but let people discuss valid topics surely?
Fair Play Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Seems a bit harsh freedom of speech and all that - yes there was a bit of agro but apologies accepted on both sides. If any of the posts offended surely they are the ones that should have been removed.
gangster Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 i never actually removed it but 1s its been checked and offending posts removed it could be re instated
micko and jack Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 proper order to remove it some of it was insulting and i know nothing about what was or is going on in the kirby club better for good order micko
Fair Play Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Bit of a contentious issue Kirky and the Glasgow Fed.but a bit of controversy never done anyone any harm as long as it is legitimate PS I was at the meeting (just in case you think I am being controversial)
micko and jack Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Déjà vu is the experience of feeling sure that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously i think we were here before i'm sure we were here before this thread is like the X Files THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE micko
Delboy Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Bit of a contentious issue Kirky and the Glasgow Fed.but a bit of controversy never done anyone any harm as long as it is legitimate PS I was at the meeting (just in case you think I am being controversial) I put £1000s into the Glasgow fed with ybs , running sales, getting the top west section birds and as well as being the biggest clubs secretary and the feds vice president. Now the members have turned their back on the Kirky club , reasons unknown.Imagine turning down so many top fanciers, multiple section winners in the SNFC. Prestige any federation would be proud of??
Fair Play Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 I was not a member when Kirky left the Glasgow Fed. but raced against them when they were in the East section I recently rejoined after a long absence ,would it be pertinent to ask what was the reason for the original decision to leave the Glasgow Fed.
Delboy Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 the fact was , the whole Glasgow fed tried to get into Lanarkshire fed as the North section. We were not accepted , so the officials , including the late Jack McGougan, advised us to try and get into Lanarkshire as a club.NO ANIMOSITY AT ALL.We did not leave during a season
Roland Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 I am 110% for fredom of speech ... but not the freedom of speech that is in any way derogative or injurious to any person. Freedom of speech isn't, and was never intended to be used for that purpose. Indeed it would be revealing I'd wager just what people actually thought, or believe what freedom of speech is, what it entails and why people believe that many have died for it. ... Ps It certainly wasn't, nor is, a means to spout any and everything that one feels at the time ... let alone a right too! PPs I know nothing of the Club, Fed etc. mentioned. But again one most surely also take into an account when using their right to Freedom of speech the MORE important 'Right to reply'! Hence in 'Asence' there can not be any 'Freedom of Speech'! Having waffled on there, I say 'Well done Rose, and you acted wisely, and in perfectly good taste.

Why should someone be refused because they are member of a particular organisation for instance? So `me`, you seem to have changed your mind since this post.

This forum is no place to attack individuals or organisations, though some would use it exclusively for that purpose. Whatever the the issues are between this club and Fed, and vice versa, I hope they can be resolved quickly and amicably.

No I have not changed my mind see no contradiction here if what I am told is true and anyway its not my mind you need to change and posting things like they "need to grow up" is not exactly going to win you many friends in the Glasgow Fed is it?

me Posted June 22, 2008 Author Report Posted June 22, 2008 Does seam to "me" ?? like double standards SEEM Gareth SEEM! No one will be suprised to hear what your take on this is. The situation I was outlining in the original post was that of feds who expel you because you join another organisation. Coincidently that would have been exactly the same situation the members of kirky club would have found themselves in i.e. being thrown out by the Midland fed for breaking their rules, if they had got into Glasgow!
