Roland Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Ive sat back and listened to this crap for too long now.You are a complete idiot that obviously couldnt fly a kite on a windy day. Its arseholes like you that have wasted the Kirkintilloch club, jealous of their results, jealous of their reputation, jealous of their winners. Your a LOSER and everybody that supports you are LOSERS too. Whats your name? I bet you are an ex member that couldnt compete with the big boys. Thats the bottom line here, the cranks that have a go at the Kirky club, or me, left because they couldnt compete. Everybody looking at this thread knows what I am talking about. The Kirky club disband, thats it, nothing else, but still the diddies have a go for no reason. JEALOUSY, THE RUIN OF THE PIGEON SPORT. Derek Hay Not wishing to distract from this topic, nor it's way forward or views etc. But lets get real here, Once again silly irrelevant gibberings are aimed to colour thw water... Things like...... You are a complete idiot that obviously couldnt fly a kite on a windy day. Its arseholes like you that have wasted the Kirkintilloch club, jealous of their results, jealous of their reputation, jealous of their winners etc etc. are nonsensical and needless. What does it matter a jolt about anyones ability, performances etc. Doesn't for a second mean that A. They aren't correct, B. Entitled to an opinion C. Make the less a 'Good Club memebr'! D Even a great Secretary. Indeed they are very often the very essence and back bone of any good sucessful Club. Indeed if it was for the 'Fanciers / Members like spouted above, Many, in not indeed MOST clubs wouldn't survive, leta alone be the sucess, or able to fly even, like they enjoy today! So please don't let's insult the very many great, often all important back bone of our very fancy! Take it read, most clubs would never exist, let alone function without the likes of us! So stop needlessly insult us!

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 Roland you are correct that Delboys last quote may have been a little over the top in general but I think the problem here is that you have a man who is frustrated and disgusted that Mr Anonymous (New Doo) can come on this forum and spout incorrect material in Delboys path yet New Doo has no one to answer too. Perhaps a new rule that could and should be incorporated into Pigeonbasics to help against people who come on this site to abuse it’s members. If any forum member is challenged about the content of his/ her statements or quotes they have to release their name to the whole of the Pigeonbasics site or face expulsion from the site immediately. Cheers Gareth

Cheers Gareth Reasonable suggestion Gareth but how can a rule like this be upheld. Once expelled the member can surely rejoin using another name. Many use anonymous user names because, having read the forum before joining it seemed to be the acceptable thing to do. For those who don't already know my name is Robert Reid. Perhaps a thread with everyone giving their true name would be a reasonable idea.
johno Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 members of the forum have a choice what to do. this has always been the case. some people only feel comfortable in posting when not having to put their name. it is worrying that some people always immediately want to ressort to banning others. this is a free and open forum it should stay that way.

Take it as read, most clubs would never existed, exist, let alone function without the likes of us! So stop needlessly insulting us! You are probably correct, to an extent Roland. My remarks were maybe a wee bit agressive. Nobody knows more than me what makes a pigeon club tick. The top pigeon fanciers as well as the hobbyists are all part of every club and I have never shown any disrespect to any of my members. The problem that has arisen here is, my character and integrity are being questioned and that is just not on. I am getting the blame for the demise of the Kirkintilloch club, where in fact, I am the one that kept it alive . I have been the secretary for 11 years and in that time, I have learnt alot about pigeon fanciers in general. All the time I have been in the pigeon sport I have been a worker. I started in 1973 aged 7, working on the ringer at basketting nights, then worked up to be basket convenor, then Vice President of my federation, then secretary of one of Scotlands biggest clubs at that time, in the mean time I had joined the S.N.F.C Committee, which I have served on twice ( also being the west section convenor ) In between all this I wrote articles for the BHW as well as running a business and bringing up a small family of 4 ( my youngest being disabled ). Taking all this into account, I have been very successful at racing pigeons and this is the reason people have a go at me, but they try to use other reasons, such as the above posts, and when you know my background, you realise what the truth really is. Roland Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 members of the forum have a choice what to do. this has always been the case. some people only feel comfortable in posting when not having to put their name. it is worrying that some people always immediately want to ressort to banning others. this is a free and open forum it should stay that way. Please don’t let me sway views, just perhaps some contents. –I wouldn’t try to be involved in this topic because I mainly know nothing of it! I whole-heartedly agree with the post of Johno’s. Indeed, I’ve voiced my opinion oft on this very matter. It isn’t the ‘Success, or renown’s name’ of the poster that counts, but the context that is written. Golly seen very often-great flyers go hammer and tongs at each other. I feel that the ‘Name’ gives an unfair and slanted view, which almost become automatically accepted as gospel… and we all know that is correct, let alone right. Golly just remember some of the disgraceful act some have done, and some of their dishonest, and despicable dealing that a ‘Name’ has got away with. BECAUSE they are a ‘Name’! Further, personally, feel very much the Freedom of speech, the right to voice it… but not the right to slander, ridicule or belittle, this via a ‘Name, a normal poster, or a No de plume. The end product is invariably the same. That is that some honest person feels that they can no longer post, visit, or feel comfortable with a given site. This has to be bad, no only for the site, but also for the ‘Fancy’ in general. And as a post says above, the Computer is in effect what is banned. But sooner than later the poster gets fed up of having to use another computer and just fades. I will start another topic with this post so that it doesn’t interfere with this topic. I’ll call it ‘As I see it’ I suppose lol.
gone fishing Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 not been on for a while but am sorry to here of the kirky clubs demise ;but its been going on for years boundries in boundries out av heard it all before its a total crock of sh** rpra ,snfc shu its ma baw your no playing am glad i got out as it done my head in if u dont get it sorted soon we will all be gone fishing
kirky cowboy Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 hi delboy i think you were being a bit disrespectful to the other members of kirky club when you said that you were the one who kept it alive. as there were other members there right to the end. cheers.
gangster Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 ive read this and other posts of a similar nature, concerning the kirky club and members, its a crying shame that the clubs gone 2 the wall, i wish all its former members sucess were ever they fly next season, but i think 2 many insults and roumers have spoiled the threads on the subject..............i also think the olive branch by the fed they applied 2 could have been offered and let the past stay in the past and start a fresh???.........an outsiders opinion
Southpaw Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 Delboy, Tilly, Red cheq and now Kirky cowboy. How many handles does one man need? All I know is that he did the same to our boxing club as he has done to your pigeon club and once again blames everyone else.
mazzie Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 as a member of the midland federation i was going to vote the the kirkie club was suspend for a year , and let the raeson be that the members of the above club DID NOT send to any young bird races in there federation midland instead chose to send to the lanarkshire to race there young birds , also note that the they werent missed and i think that it was in house rather than fed problems ,sorry to say the fed will be a better place !!!!!!!!!!!
mazzie Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 also mr rankin , ask derek hay who put forward the races we got WIPED OUT this year in old birds , because they were more in the EAST , think they were skipton , and lynm ,
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 also mr rankin , ask derek hay who put forward the races we got WIPED OUT this year in old birds , because they were more in the EAST , think they were skipton , and lynm , Hello Mazzie Dont know were you got your facts from but perhaps you should check your source of information or maybe a couple of lessons in geography is needed for you. Skipton = 57 miles from the west coast and 115 miles from the east coast. Lymm = 40 miles from the west coast and 177 miles from the east coast. Cheers Gareth
Delboy Posted October 8, 2008 Author Report Posted October 8, 2008 also mr rankin , ask derek hay who put forward the races we got WIPED OUT this year in old birds , because they were more in the EAST , think they were skipton , and lynm , Information is wrong, I proposed Halifax and Skipton. Your President, Andy Garven proposed we go to LYMM
Guest redwhiteblue Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 also mr rankin , ask derek hay who put forward the races we got WIPED OUT this year in old birds , because they were more in the EAST , think they were skipton , and lynm , As a matter of interest there were only 4 Kirky members at the AGM, so how can 4 members vote for these race points when there were at least 80/100 people in the hall? Where has the rest of the votes came from? For your info your race conveyor said that Leyland was not suitable to liberate pigeons it only took him 41/2 years to notice this!! This being the reason that Kirky members prposed the alternative race point being at Skipton. I would like to see you comment on how many young birds left as I have seen the Kirky members young birds and they have loads left!! It's time to wake up and smell the coffee!!!!!!!
