alex wight Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 They have been an embarasment to our sport in scotland, and to not deal with a potential damaging situation shows that they are all for themselves and not the members. They have done nothing to move our sport forward in the way that they should have done. I wasnt a member this year due to my situation, but have been and will be in the future, only, if we get a commitee that is productive and positive. I would like to see the commitee made up from north south east and west. I would also like to see the agm taking place one year in north then south then east and then west, i think that helps all members with travelling ect, and shares it out. While i,m on my high horse, i think it would be a good idea for all proposals to be put in for a certain date, like they are. Then a ballot paper sent to all membership to vote on, this helps members that cant get to the meeting for one reason or another. This would get a better picture of how the national should move forward. yours alex wight.
Guest 67ghirl Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 You have to be careful not to Tar all the Comittee Members with the same Brush. Some have hung in there because they DO have the SNFC and National Racing at Heart but it is very difficult when Decisions are made above their Heads and they don't get a Chance! Trust me, not all decisions that are made are unanimous!!!!
Guest 67ghirl Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Maybe I am (bunny) but I also know how he feels about things and he was determined not to be driven out by any 'Bad Apples'
frank-123 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Maybe I am (bunny) but I also know how he feels about things and he was determined not to be driven out by any 'Bad Apples' nothing wrong in standing and fighting your corner
Guest 67ghirl Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 LOL and anyone who knows him will know he will do exactly that!..............in fact he had to be physically restrained at one particular meeting ;) He believes he is also the only serving Comittee member now that was involved in the Channel Racing Fund in the 80's who fought to save the SNFC.
Guest IB Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 You can see how keen everyone is to take on these committee jobs from the time it takes to get nominations for them at the AGM. Need to break a few arms in there too to get them to go up. And when they are nominated, I think they deserve our support.
THE FIFER Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 commitee members dont just walk up at the AGM and say I am going on the committee, they are proposed and elected by a majority, so if they are not what is required then its the fault of the members, and you will always find those that down the commitees are mostly those that were in the minority and didnt get who they wanted in , or those who dont go to the AGM's but in the end they are the ones willing to do the jobs, yes sometimes people are in official or committee posts that some dont want but they are there because no one else will take the jobs, but taking all its the fault of the members,

Believe me, the positions will be filled and not before time , particularly the top table and the P.R.O. We all know the damage to our sport some of these men ? have done
frank-123 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 are you making a comeback for the good of the national delboy? hope your big mate's the same
Delboy Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 Dont know about that Bart but what they done to big Gareth last year was dispicable. That man has the SNFC at heart and they sh** on him from a great height just because he was trying to protect the integrity of the SNFC.A big question mark over the president for his actions ???????
frank-123 Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 don't think there are many who care more than the big Gareth and his dad quicker you lot get back the better for the national in my opinion
