Have just been made aware that two bids were not updated. These bids were placed at 20.59. As it is within the timeframe of the sale I have no alternative but to amend the final sheet. Lot 6 Peter 2010 £90 and Lot 7 Big Da £70. Sorry for any disapointment guys

Hi bill, could you please tell me why I did not win lot2 & lot3. You stated that the auction was ending at 21.00 hrs. So at 21.00.00 the auction was closed, yet you still allowed another bid at 21.00 hrs on lots,2,3 & 4. Please could you explain???

Sounds like a very fair question !

An auction that finishes at 21.00, for example, is technically over at 20.59.59, as any bid with "21" in it's timing would be past the deadline.

I've had this issue here before myself, and it is very frustrating. If bids are accepted between 21.00.01 and 21.00.59, then the auction "end point" is actually 21.01, not 21.00 as stated.

I hope that you get your issue sorted to your satisfaction.

ATB,

steve your own bids where out of time, big petes bids where in side 21 hours as there is no second after time which means 21 dead, means dead time i was in the same position as like all other bidders the sale was on for a long enough time to adjust and there was time to blow the sale out if you wanted the bird me i was not that bothered if i win or lose the bird, to be honest I just took a fancy to it I have no knowledge of the bird. BUT THOUGHT £50 WAS WHAT THE GUY BILL WANTED FOR IT, ends up my bid wins inside the time bill calls the shots as it happens he does himself out of £5 .as there was a bid of £85 but late,as bill calls itemoticon-0126-nerd.gif

there is always a solution Steve, if you are set on this bird ask they guy that bought it, you will half in with him for the use of the bird, if you like animatedpigeons.gif never say never.

Hi.big da, your missing my point, if the auction ended at 21.00.00, how could a bid be accepted when the auction was ended? The latest bigpetes bid should have been is20.59.59. The next second - the auction is closed.

That my final answer on this,

I would think that pigeon basics needs to monitor the way some people run their auctions, as I know that this is not the first time that people have been tucked.

You may keep your young birds bill, which by the way you offered for a price!

Regards steve
