thank you guys for you support,  long may you lum reek ;)
get your proposal right  for what race , probably leicester about 250 to lanarkshire ,if iwas in lanarkshire i would like to have a go with some yearlings ,its wrong coming on here with a bad attitude towards other guy's in your fed ,you should try to convince them about this proposal the benefits for the fed etc.not demeaning them, if you do you,you will gain their respect and their support

not demeaning mate  just banter, there some truths in there and they no that, i follow like the rest the majority  rule  in my book, but i am here for the sprint guy  all the way to the

coast, that don't have an option halfway down the race program  to race distance, others backslide to another fed  if the route don't suit, what the democracy states  ill leave it at that as  they all know who i am on about, the good think about it is with all the  extra money from the lost birds due to the east route exodus and 50p on the basket i expect  a good profit this year ;):o :-/ ;D

is there not a race about 340 miles which has good prize money?an open race

yes but they are duplications  and i feel have an affect on pooling and the amounts of pool money in the fed as they money is split with the other feds or national imo

Posted

Convince the fed members,that are not national minded,not me. ;) ;) ;)

there has always been a coast race and one over the water with lanarkshire whats changed vincent? t the snfc will be taking the birds  nobody forcing you to duplicate

the only fed member i have heard complaining is bigda  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D is there members in your club complaining

thats the problem when you have an open race at that time then its proposed to go with this or that and yes its true the pool money is split prob about 70% to national 30% club/fed

Have heard there is a bit of unrest with some members of the fed,not wanting their yearlings going into a convoy with the nationals birds. And from what i am hearing because of this they will not be going to the coast race.Personally i could not care less, but can see were they are coming from.Have not heard any of my clubs members having any complaints regarding this, the members of the fed that i have heard about regarding this are from your neck of the woods.

The club is known as Clarkston& District and is based in Airdrie , North Lanarkshire, we have 13 members and we like to think we are a welcoming, progressive club that are looking forward to competing in the Lanarkshire federation of racing pigeon clubs for season 2009

i would second young chrissy boy with regards his discription of clarkston & district, good luck for 2009 you will see a big difference with your y/bird racing. :) :) :);)

how Manny of the national birds will be yearlings as the fed will have quite a few depending on the racing before hand, just to get a  idea as to where the drag would have an influence

as older birds  against  yearlings are more steadier and might not brake out of the batchs :-/

birds have been homing from races over 500-700mls for over 100 years flying into rabbit huts coal cellars and such like,i  would like to think that any yearling of mine would be capable of homing into the west of scotland from 300-350mls regardless of the convoy be it fed combine or national, maybe this is  what we need to get the birds sorted out, bigda get in about it. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
